Had been around the area and this place had the best cocktails, all the rest are just cheap mixers, â¬6.50 good price too. Great friendly service, music, relaxed and comfortable place to have a drink.

Perfect location on Alogao beach. Fab Sangria & ice cold big beer. Owner, Marco, is a delightful young man who looks after his clientele well. Lots of shade after a hard dayâs sunbathing. Fab!

We had a lovely family meal here, sitting out in the courtyard on a very warm evening. I had the pork in mushroom sauce with potatoes and veg which was delicious. My daughter enjoyed the spaghetti bolognese, my son had salmon which he demolished and my husband had melt in your mouth tuna.

There's a lovely atmosphere as soon as you walk in here, big smiles from the staff and customers alike. Lots and lots of snacks to mix and match to satisfy how hungry you are.Great for a drink or something more substantial and the prices are very reasonable.

Mobyâ s Bar is situated up a side street facing a large car park. We had rad reviews about it and decided to call in one afternoon. We asked for the food menu and all they serve are burgers so we declined. We had a drink instead.The waitress was friendly enough but the bar had no atmosphere and no customers. We often had to pass it to reach our hotel and there was never anyone in.

Weâd been out to Mértola which was well worth the drive and thought weâd swing in here for lunch on the way back - been before and enjoyed itWe sat down and a waitress happened to come across to a table near to us, she saw us as she did a double take and then proceeded in having a catch up with a lady on this table - I have no issue with that but surely youâd do what youâre being paid to do and then back to her to carry onFifteen minutes and then she went to go back inside but remember we were there and took our drinks order, it wasnât busy and we both ordered burger on a plate which wasnât rocket science but again weâd both drunk our drinks by the time this arrived and while others food was being served Iâm not going to totally destroy the place as it might have been a one off but it shouldnât take an hour and fifteen minutes to order cook and eat some fries a burger on its own and some salad Thank you very much for your review, it allows us to track our food and service.Weâll surely take on account your opinion and, in this case, we must correct some issues concerning the delay on the service.Weâre very sorry for that and we hope in the next time it will be a lot better.Gastropub Altura

Another holiday and another excellent meal at the Blue Parrot! This time I had the prawn coconut curry-delicious ! Friends had the fish and chips and a chicken salad-both were lovely and such good value for money . The service was superb-special mention to Lucy for looking after us so well! No 1 in my book! Thank you so much for taking time out to write this wonderful review.. Look forward to seeing you next time youâre in Monte Gordo..

The indoor part of this long established restaurant is rather uninspiring. It has its own faithful clientele. As a vegetarian I was delighted to get vegetable spring rolls as a starter and a vegetable buritto served with chips and a side salad as my main course. My wife had curried chicken samosas to start and a chicken kebab and ribs dish which was served with baked potato and salad.The food was good without being amazing and given the range of fine restaurants in Manta Rota we wouldn't be in a hurry to go back but having said that if you are looking for good value casual dining which won't break the bank, and if you are happy with burgers or burittos then this could be just the spot for you.They also have a beer garden!
