I have reviewed Parreirinha before and now that I live in Midrand I sometimes wonder why a person would drive all the way to the South of Joburg to have a meal but when the food arrives you just know it was worth the great trek. We normally have the 12 prawns but decided to order a seafood platter for 2. At R425 it is really great value, 2 small crayfish, 12 prawns, kingklip, calamari, some small shellfish, rice and chips. All cooked under the watchful eye of the mama in the kitchen. Service as usual was tops. Area is not great but they have security outside.

You are greated by friendly staff who show you to a table in pleasant surroundings giving this restaurant a family feel. Varied selection available from the menu to suit a variety of tastes. Great tasting food and large portion sizes. Have visited several times, always satisfied.

I have eaten here twice. Every dish we ordered was very good to excellent. I have eaten Indian food in England which has noted good restaurants and this Taj is just as good.
I recommend this place.
Chicken Tikka Masala, and vegetarian dishes are very good.
Service could be improved though.

Went there to catch up with a friend I hadn't seen for a year. It was predictably noisy, with a low ceiling, making conversation a shouting affair. Cigarette smoke leaked regularly into the main restaurant from the supposedly enclosed smoking area. Worst, I guess, was my ostrich steak, which was tough. I went at my friend's invitation, so I didn't want to make a fuss. But I wouldn't choose to go there again on that one experience. Others may have had much better luck.

We often enjoyed breakfast here - smallish set menu with no deviation. If it is plain and simple you want, this is what you will get here. Staff not really wanting to serve - we constantly have to complain as they mostly stand together and talk. Not sure if we will visit here again.

At Nando's you can always expect great, fresh food, delivered hot and quickly. A recent renovation to this particular outlet has created a great vibe for dining in as well. Famous for their chicken, this is always a winner. However their delicious burgers are perfectly balanced with a juicy chicken breast. Healthy options also available.
