Posada Al Vent

Posada Al Vent is an old house built in the fifteenth century by the Infanzón Berroy. Rehabilitated by Daniel and Lucia, located in the Aragonese Pyrenees. More than a hotel, our intention has been to create a space to feel, feel the silence, time, every corner, every detail. We are in Coscojuela de Sobrarbe (Huesca), in a privileged environment that invites you to enjoy nature at every season of the year.

Impeccable

Our 3 night stay in October was a birthday surprise for my wife. Obviously the quality of the 5 star reviews were a very positive factor as my wife can be critical of small details. I must say that in recent years I have also been increasingly disappointed with our stays, standards have fallen....but not at the Posada. Lucia and Daniel are very welcoming hosts and have created a property with loving attention to so much detail. The resulting ambience especially the very comfortable armchairs made a warm and enjoyable time. Plenty of the old fashioned radiators. Our bedroom again was immaculate and well furnished with more comfortable armchairs, so much artistic talent in each setting. And then of course Daniel's cooking. A fixed 3 course dinner, not only a joy to eat but beautifully presented, and with such a wide range of crockery and china to complement each meal. No miserable buffet selection for breakfast, after juice and fresh fruits another innovative cooked dish. The selection of wines excellent. What an absolute pleasure to have been so lucky to have stayed, our very grateful thanks to Lucia and Daniel

Casa Gerbe, a surprise and a delight - in Gerbe!

We spent a couple of nights at Casa Gerbe, as a base to explore Ainsa, the local mountain landscape, and the Odessa Valley. I wish we had spent longer here. Miguel is an attentive and knowledgeable host, and there is a lot to see and do. Case Gerbe is a wonderful retreat, with good food, and a well-stocked library on the local area. By the way, it is in Gerbe, not Ainsa as listed in Expedia!

Poor Value

This is a very well maintained and attractive camping resort BUT having paid 130 Euros per night (yes, the price of a 4/5* hotel) for a two bedroomed cabin we expected simple luxuries such as a kettle, cups and mugs, a toaster, and a knife that was sharp enough to cut bread. The water was neither hot nor cold. The cabin was tired but adequate. It was clean enough apart from the dirty windows. When I asked about the missing items at reception the staff were not interested. I would only recommend this place if you are prepared to take most of your kitchen and bedroom with you!! There are much better value for money places in the area.

Casa El Condor

Casa El Cóndor is situated in a small quiet village of only 30 inhabitants in an area of unspoilt natural beauty in the north of the Sierra and Canyons of Guara Nature Reserve. It is the ideal environment for nature lovers and for those who want to escape the city and feel at home. Our accommodation consists of a typical aragonese house that is 300 years old and has been restored by its present owners Dany and Cecilia in order to offer modern comforts whilst respecting the original construction of stone and wood. Its thick stone walls provide a comfortable cool interior in the summer, perfect for welcoming tired guests after a satisfying day of walking or cycling. There is also a terrace and outdoor summer swimming pool for your pleasure. There are a variety of routes for walking, cycling or mountain biking to be enjoyed and the area is also ideal for horse riding, photography, water sports, painting workshops and much more.Numerous tracks lead into the Sierra de Guara to unique landscapes like the balconies of Mascun, abandoned villages or dolmens on the outskirts of our village.Casa El Cóndor is just 25 minutes from the historic medieval town of Ainsa and ¾ of an hour from Alquezar, declared a site of historic and artistic interest. It has 10 rooms, double rooms and rooms with 4 beds, all with en suite bathrooms. In the mornings a breakfast of homemade buns and jam is served.Welcome to El Cóndor.

Great place in a really out of the way place

This is a very small hotel in a very very small village, The owners are accommodating and meals served are quite good. We were there as a part of the Hike Pyrenees village to village self guided hiking vacation. The hotel is a destination for those folks into canyoneering and has photos of this activity through out the restaurant portion of the hotel. Meals were a part of the Hike Pyrenees trip and these measured up well.

Casa Forestal

Muy básico

Reviewed By elspapis
