PEARL OF TAJ - Great stay
Reviewed By Discover604447Stayed for 3 nights towards the end of Jan 21. Just 2 minutes walking distance from the Shilpgram parking. From this parking Tajmahal East gate is just 700 mts. Cars can come upto this parking. In order to go to tajmahal, you have to hire a golf cart or rickshaw or tonga from here. Golf cart rste Rs 10 per head. Or you can simply walk on. It will take less than 10 minutes. 7/8 km from Agra Cant and Agra Fort stns. Ola/Uber is avlbl. It is a small, 3 storied hotel with 8 rooms. More than a hotel, it has a home like ambience. All rooms have private balcony. Backside rooms have swings and front ie. roadside rooms have rocking chairs in the balcony. Rooms are very spacious and aesthetically decorated with nice paintings. Lobby on each floor also tastefully decorated. There is an ac, a small fridge, electric kettle and tea-coffee kits in the room. If required, they can provide room heater (@ Rs 100 per day, though ultimately they did not charge it from us). Between the room and bathroom there is a dressing area with a big mirror and a wardrobe with a locker inside it. What is most interesting, the bathroom has a ceiling fan. And all the fittings in the bathroom are spic and span and perfectly working. There is no separate geyser in each room but they have a centralized geyser from which hot water is available on taps 24 hrs. Though it is only a 3 storied bldng, it has a lift. All the furniture, doors and windows have a aristocratic look, there is no cheapness anywhere. Bedsheets, towels absolutely clean. Quilt quality very good. Even at 7/8 degree at night we slept comfortably. There is a restaurant and a souvenir shop at the ground floor. What is most important, all the staff are extremely well-mannered and helpful. One night during our stay we were a bit late returning from sightseeing, by that time their restaurant was closed. But they called in their chef and readied dinner for us. Room rent taken from us was Rs 1200 per day (breakfast not included at this rate). Room rent is negotiable. Overall a memorable stay and highly recommendable. We had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Shah (Max), Aisha and Sara. All three were extremely kind and made sure that we were comfortable every minute that we were there. The rooms are spacious, clean, and perfect for what me and my wife needed when staying in Agra, I can't imagine any other guest houses having the same level of quality as Max Guest House. We also were invited to dinner and I am still full from eating so many delicious homemade dishes even days after, while I write this review. The chicken melts off the bone, and the Dal will make your heart soar. Every main dish and side will come straight from the oven to your mouth and the dynamic team of Sara + Aisha will make sure that you have a full plate of Chapati and Sides the entire night, just like family should ❤️ Do yourself a favor and workout or go for a run before you go for dinner with Max so you can keep eating and eating, you just won't want to stop, I promise. I could type a million more reasons why you need to book your stay with Max Guest House, but to save you time I'll summarize like this: Max Guest House is the best place to stay in Agra, book before they're full. Reviewed By anaterracVery good location, with good breakfast, nice staff, and cute place to stay in Agra for one/two days. The coral owners are one big family but this Coral tree was the first one. All of them is close to the another. The owners are very friendly and welcoming.

Very accommodating of late check in and arranged food, super friendly, offered helpful tips. The rooms are clean and cool, chilled vibes in the courtyard and importantly walking distance to Taj Mahal.
