Just scrapping by 4 star hotel
Reviewed By dee238_123Stayed recently & there are good and bad points, but ultimately I don't feel the hotel is not quite a 5 star hotel. Good points: grounds are really nice, pools are big & very inviting, apart from the aloof & generally rude reception staff, all other staff are very polite, helpful & friendly I read some comments that the snacks, food & drinks were expensive but don't think this is quite the case, slightly more than outside bars and restaurants which I'd expect. The beach is beautiful & during our visit there were lots of sun lounges. The hotel is literally on the beach, 1 minute walk from your room & your on the beach. So the bad bits: when we arrived there was an issue with the electric door card & the room electrics, we basically had no electric for an entire day/evening so were unable to shower or charge phones. The best the hotel could offer was a complimentary drink in the bar!! The breakfast is OK, not great but not quite 5 star either, quite basic The room light switches were back to front & upside-down, so when we came in the switches were always on the on position & the first switch was for the bathroom, quite annoying but more importantly attention to detail. The bathroom handle kept falling off & the room air conditioning didn't work. Reported that it wasn't working but it still didn't work during our stay, it made a lot of noise but the room was very hot. The rooms are so dated, very 80's, old fashioned hairdryer, very strange shower set up in the bath, the shower has been placed on the side wall & not the end wall which makes it a bit of a squeeze to get under. 5 star hotel & their idea of a completely mini bar is a fridge with four bottles of water that aren't even topped up. Coffee & sugar wasn't topped up either during our stay Cleaning ladies did the most basic clean, made the bed & replaced the towels. Complementary toiletries were not replenished either. There is a children's playground which is beyond basic cheap & awful. They have put up a little white picket fence & gate & what looks like they've had a supermarket sweep round toys are us, basically thrown in a bunch of plastic outdoor toys, they really think this represents 5 star! Not very imagative. The princess resort seems to be a chain of what seems most of the islands 5 star hotels, so even if you try another one of the islands top hotels, their probably going to be the same highly priced over rated accommodation. If you do stay here, the beach, pool & grounds may make it a bit more enjoyable

Drinks very expensive. No ambience at the bar. Very few used it. Breakfast was acceptable. We stayed half board and dinner was average. I would not recommend half board. Staff at reception friendly. But we found the restaurant were not very welcoming. Staff didn’t acknowledge you. Very reluctant to clear plates between courses. Talked a lot between themselves rather than looking after their guests. Ordered a glass of wine and the measure was so small possibly half a glass at the most. . Always our trips to Skiathos we have been made to feel special. Not here I’m afraid. Please improve your standards as we would love to come back. Be competitive and you’d have your bar full. You have a lot of competition out there.

Reviewed By julietr968The rooms have recently been updated and are very modern and comfortable. The pool and pool area were very clean and quite. The walk from the main road only takes 10 minutes and has Street lamps along it. There is a supermarket directly across the road. The family that run the apartments are very accomadating especially Jenny.

Reviewed By SaskajovWe stayed at this hotel for 12 days. The hotel is in quiet part of Skiathos near beautiful sandy beach. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff is very kind and made us feel welcome. The hotel is surrounded by greenery and flowers. There are also many restaurants and supermarkets nearby. We had an amazing time and can't wait to come again.

Most unsanitary hotel room I have been in
Reviewed By Trail63109728205Hotel Arco is by far the most unsanitary hotel room I have been in. The rooms at the 3rd floor were not cleaned for at least the last couple of months. Except the clean sheets, there was cleaning made before checking in. Stains on the mirror and walls, hair in the bathroom dust, spider webs and unsanitary shower and sink are some of the things we had to put up with and entire week.

Reviewed By thomaslandStayed for seven nights here and wasn't disappointed! The family give a fantastic welcome. The snack bar and bar area are very clean, the food is great and the bar is always well stocked. The rooms are modern and clean with regular house keeping.

Reviewed By 803gracegWe have just returned from 9 lovely nights at Panos Studios, Agia Paraskevi, and we can safely say we will be back! The hotel is lovely, friendly, and very very well maintained. Panos and his team are busily working away everyday to make sure that his hotel really is the best it can be for your stay. Always there with a cheery smile! The pool area is lovely to relax in, with modern facilities, and the garden is kept beautifully. Our room was room 9, and it was perfect, exactly what we needed. Fresh towels and sheets given throughout the stay, we used the safe, and also paid for the aircon, this was very reasonable and worked brilliantly. Our balcony faced the pool and we enjoyed it. The location is great, small wander from the beach, surrounded by lovely restaurants- listen to Panos, the green park is lovely! Now to Panos himself, the heart and soul of this hotel, he works incredibly hard, and he is always there with a smile on his face. I think we were always the first and last customers at the pool bar, so we really got to know him, and it was a pleasure! So many laughs, so many cocktails, and so many memories created in a beautiful hotel! ☺️ He even offered to keep our bags while we spent our last day in the sun. We honestly couldn’t recommend this enough, we will be back, and we cannot wait to see what ideas Panos has had since! A little bit of paradise! ? P.s. if you go, order a mojito!

Reviewed By juke57we stayed 2 weeks from 17th August 2021 Initially disappointed as wardrobe not tall enough to hang dresses so had to hang them on the inside of the wardrobe door. Balconies only have separating wall to waist height. Only 1 electrical socket so remember to take an extension lead with extra sockets. Hair dryer on wall by dressing table. Doesn't charge for safe. Aircon was 35 euros per week. thermostat didn't work so had to switch on and off during night or would go too cold if didn't. It stopped working completely on 1st Saturday night but he had someone come to fix it 1st ting Sunday wich was good. Check out was 10.30 which seemed early but he did agree to let us keep room til 13.00 to allow cleaner to do room before she left. Cleaner comes every day except Sunday. Only get 1 toilet roll then have to buy your own. Did provide 2 small bars of soap. We would stay here again as good location for beach, bus stop and tavernas.

It s so far away from the centre, the road is damaged, it s in the mountains, you don t have phone signal, it s almost 8 km from the any beach in pefkochori and in the night it was dangerous to drive. When we got there, the villa it didn t looked like in the photos, villa Pigadi, downstairs there s a bedroom configured in the kitchen and a small bathroom that smelled very ugly. It s openspace, u dont have any intimacy. The 1st floor, after u climb the very tight stairs, there are 2 "bedrooms" one large bedroom and althpught they told us it s another king size bedroom, there was a 1 person bed. The A/C it didn t worked. They told us on the phone that our villa has a pool and when we got there, the pool was 300 m away, in common with another villa. We tried to eat at thir restaurant, the food was very very bad and also the food services. They didn t cleaned the villa before we got there, and also many insects dead found in the house. The good thing is that we only seelpt there for 2 night.
