La Galere

Family-oriented restaurant with a large terrasse and unpretentious atmosphere. Something for everyone!

Reviewed By Anseta - Nice

Relatively reasonable prices, food was OK, but goats cheese starter in Filo pastry was clearly burnt, service competent by several non-French waitresses, basic amenities though our table was sticky! We had been recommended but would not go again.

Restaurant Cote Jardin

Really pleasant outdoor restaurant. Sitting under an aged plain tree with a cooling breeze from the sea, just perfect!
Well spaced tables and really attentive professional service with just the gentle murmur of happy conversation from other diners in the background.
The food excellent and although we arrived at the end of the lunch service we were not rushed. 3.30pm came and went and the waiter said take your time I am setting up for dinner anyway. Very civilised.

Le Coelacanthe

Reviewed By Eamonn Q - Dublin, Ireland

Just arrived in St raphael Area on a Monday and headed for the port.
First Restaurant we came across and while everywhere else was quiet le Coelacanthe was humming. While not fine dining was good food at a good price and a pleasant experience. Worth a stop in if you're in the area. Might need a reservation as we were made feel lucky to get a place without one - even on a Monday in June.

LE CHARIVARI

Reviewed By MikeEdw - London, United Kingdom

Dinner for 9 last evening, great hospitality, food and wine. Friendly informal service.
Complimentary olive tapanades with toasted mini breads a nice touch to start.
We then variously had: tuna, salads, charcuterie as appetisers.
Steaks, fish platters, Linguine & Steak tartare and a number of bottles of the €25 Rose.
No room for delicious sounding desserts, but we had various good coffees (for France) and "digestives" on the house to finish.
€60 a head with tip & bottled water.
Genuine friendly farewell. Would go again if I/ we come back to Agay.
Merci Le Charivari team.

Happy Days

Reviewed By Frank H - Kolbotn, Norway

Came in, no booking but they managed to squeeze us in. Good starters, my carpaccio was very good. My wife had cod, really good, she mentioned that some of our Norwegian chefs could learn something from this. Unfortunately my steak which I ordered medium was cooked gray, after the waiter explained that they were butchers and knew their meat. No one to get in touch with to complain, they were busy in other areas of the place, so I ate it, but was disappointed. As soon as you put down your fork, someone came to clear the table, it was obvious that they were rushing to sell the table one more time that evening. Due to the disappointment with the steak, I give a medium grade, we will give them one more chance tomorrow to see if they may earn a "fourth point"

Le Bahia

Reviewed By Renato M - Sophia Antipolis, France

The restaurant is smaller than we thought when looking to the pictures but they have a quite impressive menu. The main dishes are a mix of many cuisines...from french mediterranean to some asian plates, everything interesting and we were also pleased to taste even a wonderful starter of breaded shrimps with nice garniture. Finally the view is very good but not so splendid as it could be since there's a kind of small parking in front of it.
