We will tell you everything we know about birch sap (video projections and photos from birch sap harvests in springtime) and offer you different kinds of birch sap from fresh to sparkling with various flavours. Also you will have a chance to taste the unique birch sap syrup. All of „ BIRZI” products can be purchased to take with you. p.s. We kindly ask to make reservations before visiting.

What an amazing place! "It was wonderful and joyful", that's what our kids said after a few hour activities at the place. Luckily we could visit the place in the spring time. We started our tour with tapping the birch and maple trees, soon after we had our first tree sap in our champagne flutes that were given by the genuinely pleasant host. Later on we could experience syrup extraction from the maple sap, more like being in a VIP vapour sauna to be honest. At the end our our mesmerizing tour we had a chance to taste all different sorts of syrups, sparkling drinks and some fine cookies. At the end the kids were happy to walk away with their personally bottled maple sap, but us with some fine drinks and dandelion syrup. A place definitely to visit and appreciate!

Wine shop by the Ligatne Winery. Ligatne highly appreciated wines from berries, fruits and flowers. Apple vodka "Ferryman". Degustations for individuals and groups.

I have visited the winery in the end of August. This definitely should be on a map of wine lovers. In the shop made in the cave you can have a tasting of different wines and later on purchase the one you have liked. Few kilometers away is the winery itself with a little spoon factory where if arranged in advance you can have lunch made by a local village women, for additional fee see the winery itself and see the process of wood spoon making (if pre-arranged). I liked the idea that all family is in this business and if you are on your way from Riga to Tallinn or around Sigulda, it is a nice spot to color your day.

If you have decided to visit Kurzeme region, this place is worth visiting. Here local farmers deliver apples grown in their gardens to be processed. In a tour we discovered how craft cider is made - from apple down to corking the bottle. After viewing factory and equipment, we tasted varieties of cider. Now I know where is the difference between real craft cider and "some sugary drink". If you don't have a time to take a tour, in the heart of Sabile you will find Sabiles Sidra Nams, there you can taste and buy local cider. Sabile Cider brewery is near to Sabile Cider House, river Abava, waterfall Abavas rumba, Pedvales Open Air Art Museum, Sabiles Wine mountain.
