Great stay tho nothing out of the ordinary

Spa facilities were very relaxing, IR-sauna panels mounted too high, no jacuzzi (tho the 34° small pool area would have been perfect for just that albeit quite useless as it is with an identical much bigger pool right next to it.) The Elevator wasnt working to the ceiling, which we were suggested to use on check in, and on check out they were still suggesting it to new checkins- quite embarrising as I told their customeers it was out of order and they had to use the stairs she adviced against. Fitness area was cramped, compared to the number of guests. Decided not to use for the same reason. A major on the downside: They dont serve food outside evening hours, so if you check in at the rather late check-in (14:30) you might go hungry till 19:30. Suggestion: Cut your fruits- only having a bowl with apples init feels cheap

Ringkøbing is an old commercial and shipping town with a history that goes all the way back to the middle of the 13th century. An intimate and cosy atmosphere still exists in the town and beautiful old buildings can be found in the centre of the town with narrow, cobbled streets. Hotel Ringkøbing was constructed in the 17th century approximately, and is the town's oldest building except for the church. For many years, the merchant's house was the town's largest house with buildings all the way up Vestergade. Through all of the 18th century and up to 1805, the building was occupied by changing county administrators who had large grain storehouses in the courtyard. The northern half of the complex was sold in 1806. Since 1833, it has been an inn and hotel, which makes Hotel Ringkøbing one of the country's oldest hotels. Currently, Hotel Ringkøbing has 59 ultramodern rooms, all carefully renovated. In particular, our suite with a view of the square. The suite is furnished with luxury
An Inn atmosphere - with poor and slow service

Center of the town square, atmosphere of a local Inn - but - we had to ask to be seated, we had to ask for the menu, we had to ask to order, after 45 min we had to ask for the food - and the food was nothing to write about - and finally we had to line up to pay.

Alt var i skønneste orden og vi behøvede ikke at have noget med selv, udover mad/drikkevarer. Udlejeren var let at komme i kontakt med ift. spørgsmål. Udenfor lejligheden var der forskellige former for golf, som var rigtig underholdende for hele familien. Vi kommer helt sikkert igen.

Stefan Bendtsen has operated the small intimate Hotel Smedegaarden in Lem st. close to Ringkøbing Fjord since 1991. Stefan is in the kitchen every day, making delicious Danish food of high quality. The hotel has an ala carte restaurant and a small lounge, both with a very cozy atmosphere. In addition, the hotel has 10 rooms and a “family house” with room for 6 people.
One of the best we have tried
Reviewed By Tracey VVery quick check in & being shown to our room, was a first for us,so thanks for that. The room was lovely & had everything we needed. We had a 3 course meal both nights, which was very well presented & delicious. You do get very big portions, so try not to eat too much beforehand. The breakfast was very basic but good. The only minus was that the milk & A38 were not cold & the marmelade/jam should have been covered up, as there were little flies about., The staff were very friendly & helpful. The hotel is really charming & has a good welcoming feel about it. Would definitely go there again.

Great for short stay
Reviewed By Madeleine FWe booked a small aparment for few days. It has one beedroom, kitchen, bathroom and a garden terase next 4 others separated by fence. To the beach it was 5 minutes and the beach was wonderfull. The shops and Sondervik is with a bike 5 minutes away and it was lovely quiet vacantion.
