A small, family-run hostel, Mayon Backpackers is centrally located- a short walk to the city center, minutes from the airport and bus terminal, and within striking distance of all the major tourist attractions in the area. Friendly but untrained staff
Reviewed By xenol569Booked two family room and city tour with the hostel via Agoda & have multiple email confirmations.The point person didn’t handover the information,so it was a bit confusing upon arrival. The tour was okay, a bit pricey though but since we have the van to ourselves and the driver was pretty nice it was acceptable. Php1400 (6pax) . After the tour the tour, the front desk gave us the wrong room. When they found out, they try to put us in this mold smelling room. When I told them about it, they wanted to put air purifier in the room so it wouldn’t smell. Had to tell them dozens of time that it was acceptable before they changed us into a new room. To be fair, the staffs were nice and polite, however, they weren’t properly trained. The information wasn’t handover... as a result, we had to go over the same conversation over and over. Personally, I wouldn’t go back to this place again. With this price you can probably stay in a much more comfortable and well trained hotel as a group.

big rooms
Reviewed By raj1218location is good - near the airport and quite accessible. staff helped me with my backpack but other than that, they were nowhere to be found. the bathroom door in my room didn't have a working lock and when i mentioned it them, the lady staff just dismissed my concern and said it's okay. AC was too cold and i couldn't adjust the temperature because it was located where i can't reach it

Nice and secured rooms
Reviewed By konsensyamoWe were a group that went to Legazpi, for some reason, most inns and hotels were fully booked. So we had no choice and opted to stay here. Staff are all nice and accommodating. And since they had limited rooms available at that time, I had to somehow plead that they accommodate our group of 6 in a room for 4 persons only. Rooms are equipped with smart card keys, so at least it made me feel more secured. Bonus, my room had a view of the Mayon Volcano, nice. Kuddos to the staff for making our stay worry free and less stress.
