Hamilton City Holiday Park

Clean and comfortable

Reviewed By Juliaan R

We had a small cabin only and then moved into a self contained cabin Everyone was very helpful and happy to do what they could to accommodate us.... Rooms are very clean and have everything we needed. The bathroom block is extremely clean and obviously checked frequently and the kitchen is also well equipped and clean Supermarket is just round the corner and the hospital is close which is why we were there. The grounds are clean and well maintained I'm sure it would be a great place for families to stay

Wonderful event venue

Reviewed By 330sammyj

We held an event in the Don Rowlan Centre and our guests and staff stayed in the lodge and chalets. Venue itself was immaculate and the kitchen was good for catering. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Lodge was as expected and all the facilities were working and the kitchen meant we could be self sufficient. The chalets were open and have a nice ensuite for convenience. Overall we had just under 40 people staying on site and 87 people attend out weekend long event and all had a great weekend and were more than satisfied with the venue. The beautiful view of the river helps! Also there is a wonderful cafe on site which meant easy access to delicious hot drinks and very nice food which we experienced first hand and highly recommend.

Kea Motel & Holiday Park

A handy old motel sufficiently set back from the noisy highway.

Reviewed By Seafarer123

Putaruru is a handy stopover for travel between Auckland and Wellington or Hawkes Bay, and although this is an old motel, it is well located for being far enough back from the main highway that the trucks thundering by aren't too disturbing, and it's great that the Countdown supermarket is just up the opposite side of the road. We are always looking for a separate bedroom, which is becoming expensive, and this motel is an old but affordable option. We had unit 3, and found it OK, a bit of wall damage in the bathroom and shower unit, paintwork a bit worn in places, but overall the unit looks as if it has been recently re-painted, and was well aired. The rear windows were fully open when we arrived. The unusually small kitchen has a full stove, which is becoming rare these days. The bathroom area is also a bit cramped, but overall, the unit is not gloomy or pokey, as it has lots of windows. Most importantly, the beds are OK.

Took the family of 15 mixed ages to stay for long weekend, totally delightful place to stay, close to great walking tracks and amazing restaurant, a totally fabulous stay, enjoyed by all. We would certainly return for future stays. The camp was well run, clean and had all facilities we required. Staff were great at placing us close together with campervan site just outside units.

Stayed in self contained motorhome so this time round didn't use any of the provided facilities. Great place to stay would recommend to other travellers Thought at $34.00 for one person for one night was a little steep. A fee of $30.00 would be more in line with other parks I stayed at on my trip one being Waiteti Trout Holiday Park at $20.00 .

Our cottages are situated on the highest point of our 1666 acre family farm. Fantastic views of the mountains and central North Island . We have two self contained cottages. Each cottage has its own bathroom with walk in shower, toilet and wash basin. Each cottage is one room with a queen bed down and two single mattresses in a loft above the queen bed. Great spot for a stopover

Reviewed By M0xie4

We had a one night stop here en route elsewhere and it was just the ticket. Super friendly staff (we had an upgrade on our booking.) The unit was spacious, lovely and clean with comfortable beds. They gave us a great recommendation for dinner too (The Thirsty Weta.) The pool and spa pool were lovely. Yes, the road is noisy with the trucks trundling past but it didn't affect our sleep.

Great RV stop

Recent overnight stop on way back to Auckland . Is off the main highway - but Raglan always worth a visit. Reasonably well priced campground, with very good facilities, good sized sites - well lit at nite, excellently located within easy walk of downtown Raglan , a 500m walk across a walk-cycle bridge into town. Nice quiet spot, would stay again

Very highly recommended!!

Reviewed By P606REphilh

I'm most pleased to provide this review for the Te Aroha Holiday Park. Their communications were friendly, helpful, prompt, and clear, including a confirmation letter and directions to the cabin. The cabin was cosy, clean and warm, given it was mid-winter, and the facilities and grounds were of a good standard. Very good value. I recommend you stay a night or three at the Te Aroha Holiday Park!!
