Reviewed By raograhulOur tour was organized by Mr. Mohit, right from Nagpur pickup to drop. So we reached Nagpur by Duronto, vehicle had not reached, had to wait 30 mins for two Tavera's to reach there. We were promised both the vehicles would be with AC throughout our trip, however the drivers were reluctant in switching on the AC and even though when switched on there was no cooling, so there was problem in AC. We reached the hotel through all the heat and dust totally exhausted. Our first safari was immediately after we reached, so had to take quick lunch which was way too oily and rush for the 2 PM safari. Both the drivers were unaware of the Safari gates in Tadoba and after lots of hassle we reached the safari gate 45 mins late. Next day safari was booked around 2 hours away so we had to leave the hotel @ 3 AM. To our surprise we found that one vehicle is missing and checked with the hotel owner, he told us it maybe due to you that the driver had run away and he had anticipated something like this would happen and that's the reason he arranged an swift vehicle. So all 17 of us cramped in two vehicles left for safari completely unaware that the hotel owner had actually abused the driver and threatened him with dire consequences due to which he left immediately at midnight. All our journeys to safari's were uncomfortable. This property is in Chimur village with no easy access to any Tadoba safari's. There are way too many options available near any Tadoba gate for staying, it was our bad that we selected Safari Lodge. Owners are complete liar's, doing business for the sake of only money without any hospitality. For any probable guests reading this review please take caution, you will not find any positives for this hotel.

Excellent Stay and great safari through Zari gate
Reviewed By RamanaR59Our company team (2 foreign colleagues and one Indian Colleague, i.e. me) stayed here for one night [June 2/3, 2022]. We came here after our 2 days site visits in hot summer at 45-47 deg C around Chandrapur. It is a very nice property, almost part of or extn of Tadoba jungle. It is about 7 Km drive from Tadoba jungle Zari gate, and about 30 KM from Chandrapur city. This property has about 20+ spacious cottages with one small individual swimming pool at the backyard of each cottage. There is about 5-7 metres gap between cottages. Very nice big swimming pool for common usage, which is located adjacent to dining area. Excellent dining space. Good property to spent time quietly, away from busy city life. Good quality internet by the hotel. I couldn't get Airtel signals, But I am told other companies signals are good. The cottages are spacious, feels like home, with interesting open air bath rooms, ofcourse with good privacy. Good AC and TV facility. Staff are very friendly and polite. Many of them are trained from their Karnataka properties. Good food. They arrange juggle safari. Safari jeep can pick you from the hotel, you just need to pay Rs 500 more for this pickup and drop from Zari gate. Kavya, Hotel Manager accompanied us. We reached the Zari gate around 530 am. Spent upto 930 am. We saw 2 tigers, couple of deer's, one big snake, jungle chickens, jungle buffalos, jungle pigs, several types of birds, couple of other animals, etc. Kavya even brought some food for us. Overall excellent safari, as we saw 2 tigers! and the stay at Red Earth has been excellent. We were not allowed to take out cell phones to safari. Kavya took pics with her zoom camera. She promised to send us some pics. Waiting for them. Hope she sends atleast few. Even if she doesn't send them, the tigers we saw are there in our memory permanently.

Nice small welcoming place
Reviewed By sajidimam24The place is located very close to the buffer area with a view of the forest on one side and fields on the other three. It’s a very nice small place with four rooms , with four more and a pool coming up. We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of the owners and the staff. The food was great. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable and everything needed was provided without asking. The rooms were spacious and nicely done with a small sit out at the back. Overall It was a wonderful experience. For those who leave for safari at the last moment and still wish to be at the gate first, let me tell you it’s a good 20 mins drive.

Reviewed By KvparagThis is a nice place to stay and enjoy Tadoba. Very nice rooms, homely food & courteous staff. We were 10 adults + 3 kids and everyone enjoyed the breakfast and both meals. Food was veg & non veg, quality and quantity was excellent. Now planning to visit again in winter. Must visit & stay at Tadoba Tiger King Resort. All staff are very helpful & supportive, service is also very good.

Worst hotel and extremely rude staff !!
Reviewed By ashkundan04Hello !! I stayed at nd hotel on 10th april as i was attending a relative's engagement which was taking place in the same hotel. Let me tell you, our room was not clean enough. There was dust on most stuff. I ordered food in the room. And the staff called me continuously to pay for that food !! How very bad ?? They didn't even let me eat my food !! They were literally begging me to pay. I told them i will pay at checkout (which is the normal routine procedure at every hotel ). But they were just not ready to listen. They finally banged my door whilst i was still eating to demand for the money. Are the owners beggars ?? That they train their staff to harass guests for money ?? And now coming to the most terrible part. My checkout time was 5 pm . A woman called Neha called my husband a little before 5 to remind for checkout. My husband requested her to allow us a few minutes above 5 pm as we had my old mother too who is diabetic and needed to use washroom which was going to take a few more minutes. But Neha literally came to our room to demand that we immediately leave the room. Imagine my poor mom in the washroom and this disgusting woman called neha fighting with us to leave our room !! We had the worst time of our lives staying here. I want to alert any and everyone who wants to book this hotel pls BEWARE !! That Neha girl was ready to physically assault me !! She charged upon me and my husband and threatened us too !! The owners support this kind of behavior i guess. Or the owners too belong to the same category. In any case, STAY AWAY FROM ND HOTEL CHANDRAPUR to save yourself from mental harassment and physical assault too !! Esp neha is a criminal !!

Fantastic place to stay when visiting Tadoba Tiger Reserve
Reviewed By Gabriel GTogether with Manas and Satpura, Andhari Tiger Reserve was one the highlights of our month-long trip to India and Tadoba Homestay Cottage was the perfect place to stay and enjoy this magnificient area. The owners, Suleman and Shahanaz Baig, were fantastic and very knowledgable hosts. Mrs. Shahanaz was the first woman guide in Maharashtra and has, therefore, lots of experience guiding safaris in Tadoba. This is an important added value of the homestay, since she knows everything about the reserve and its fauna and is always very well updated about what is going on. The homestay was perfect for our family of four. The two rooms were very clean and nicely decorated with Suleman paintings and the food was wonderful too (it was served in the dining room, on the bottom floor). The homestay is very well located, in the center of the tiny Moharli village and just 500m away from the entrane to Moharli core zone and less than 1km from the entrance to Junona buffer zone. Between morning and evening safaris you can explore the close surroundings and do some birdwatching (never venturing into the jungle!): touching the village there is a beautiful lake (with crocodiles) and small farming fields. All the area is rich in fauna since you are never more than a few hundred meters from the reserve corea and buffer zones. We will certainly go back to Tadoba Homestay if we visit India on a next ocassion!

Decent stay outside Mohrali gate
Reviewed By Yash903This is a very simple stay, at a walking distance from Mohrali gate. It has nothing extraordinary, but has all the basic facilities that one requires for a jungle stay. A small property with 3 rooms, value for money stay, with decent service.
