Pleasantville is a village in the town of Mount Pleasant, in Westchester County, New York. The village population was 7,019 at the 2010 census. Pleasantville is home to a campus of Pace University and to the Jacob Burns Film Center. It was the original home of Reader's Digest, which still uses a Pleasantville postal address. Most of Pleasantville is served by the Pleasantville Union Free School District, with small parts of northern Pleasantville served by the Chappaqua Central School District. The village is also home to the Bedford Road School, Pleasantville Middle School, and Pleasantville High School.

Stopped here as we were returning home from a trip to Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow. Multiple trails to jog/hike/ walk for couples, families, and dog walkers. If you have a horse, you are also welcome to horseback ride here, as well as travel by a horse drawn carriage. We took the trail that goes around the lake and found it be beautiful Even for mid Fall there was wildlife to be seen such as chipmunks, turtles, Canada geese, and Mallard Ducks, as well as other small birds. Great place to spend time in Nature during all seasons of the year. A Nature Center is there with naturalists to answer questions. If you enter through the main entrance, there is a $6 fee to be paid at a kiosk. The lot was crowded, but there is an overflow lot and I understand you can park elsewhere at other points of entrance along the road and avoid the fee, but we feel our $6 fee was well worth it to help preserve the park. We would want to visit again and try one of the other trails should we pass through the area again.

Great venue with interesting titles. Great for seniors during weekdays. Very clean and reasonable. Comfortable seats. Parking can be a bit of an issue so show up early and stroll the shops.

A sanctuary for riders. I ride there regularly. It’s intermediate to advanced riding so use caution if you’re a beginner or not riding a reliable bike. The park is split between a front and back, and staying in the front is the safest way not to get lost. If you do get lost, just remember that the entire park is surrounded by the blue trail, so no matter what trail you’re on, if you keep going, you will wind up on the blue trail and the less than 3 mile blue trail will take you to the entrance regardless of which way you go. Usually quiet, but Sundays usually bring a bunch of riders to the park; especially in the nice weather. A great place to take your dog (if it’s friendly). Most pedestrians are super friendly and mix well with the mountain bikers, but some pricks can’t understand that other people exist, and some riders may take their MTB adventures serious. I know I do.
