The place is just on the out-skirts of the city of Gaborone and will give you the glimpse of Botswana Natural Wildlife. We spent a day at the park. Rode the train and all available rides, but the rollercoaster was the most exciting. The "beach and water slides" provided a lot of excitement. A visit to ISKCON temple, which is very close to Gaborone CBD gets you to a smooth start for a Sunday Morning. You can experience the peaceful atmosphere there, enjoy the exquisite Architecture and if you are a believer of GOD, do prayer and meditate. They have recently started the Sunday Breakfast, which is priced right. They offer good vegetarian meal to start the day.

I used to live at 227 Independance Avenue and walk past the lively church on way to Thornhill School. It used to have functions and community events also.

Not really impressive but definitely in a folksie way. The guide we had was full of stories and anecdotes, all very interesting. The footprints themselves are interesting in that no one seems to know exactly how old they are or even who did them. Very interesting rock formations in the area. Worth visit if you get the right guide. The gates were locked when we arrived luckily my daughter had the number for the guide and he came immediately.
