A collection of cars from 1800's to 1960's along with automated musical instruments and a Wurlitzer Theater Organ. We charge no entry fee but we do have a donation box at our entry door. We are currently open every Tuesday from 1:00-4:00 and the first Saturday of the month from 11:00-4:00. Please check our website or Stahls Automotive Foundation on Facebook for any changes in hours.

It's FREE. Just sat. early afternoon. Not only cars but, juke boxes and Huge Church Organs. The staff, all volunteers, are fantastic. They tell you the story of each car. Two organs are played by someone from the volunteers. There are some old racers that the kids can sit in and pretend they are racing. Fun place.

Both of my trips to this park happened because we rented electric bikes at the nearby Pedago bike rental. The first visit was in the autumn and it was understandably not busy, even though there were plenty of other bikers and lots of people walking dogs. It was cool enough that we wore gloves, and we could take the paths along the waterfront.
Today's visit - perfect summer weather to be outside! There were thousands of people enjoying the park, including several big family reunions. Boats everywhere, bikes, lawn games, people of all ages. If I lived closer, I would come here more often!

I drove to Walter and Mary Burke Park as a day trip - in the winter. Although New Baltimore and Lake St. Clair gets most of its traffic in the summer, I loved how quiet the lake and park were on a winter evening. It's a great place to walk around and watch the sunset, year round. The Christmas decorations put up in New Baltimore also are lovely and helped give a warm and joyful feel to the park on a cold day.

This is a beautiful park to relax at any time of the day, always peaceful, very clean. Also a great place to have family gatherings or a wedding, the fountain is a beautiful place for pictures!

We usually meet up here at least once or twice a a year with friends to get caught up on things in theirs and our lives.The food is good and you can catch sports on the tvs positioned in various area strategically placed. I do have to say that when there is local sports on you need to get there a little earlier, the place tends to fill up quickly.

Attended this event on a Sunday. Like other reviewers have mentioned, free entrance, free parking, good security at entrance, first aid stations, port a johns, refreshment stands, displays...on and on...very well organized and fantastic attractions...F18 Hornet, F14, F15, F16, F22 Raptors (2), F35, C130, C17...A10 Warhog...list goes on, flying demonstrations with realistic "bombing" runs, The Us Army displays of newly develop "Humvee" replacements, all sorts of military vehicles, 50 Cal machine gun and M240 infantry machine gun (27lbs)...would recommend this Airshow to everyone...think next one will be in 2019...can't wait....

Each tour includes a video, a guided walk down our observation hallway to see candy makers at work, free chocolate samples and a stop in our fun newly remodeled Sanders Chocolate & Ice Cream Shoppe. The first Sanders store opened on June 17, 1875. By the 40's and 50's Sanders products and stores became woven into the traditions of Detroit families. Going to Sanders for a Sundae during a downtown trip, blowing out birthday candles on a Sanders cake and sharing laughs over a bowl of ice cream covered in Sanders Hot Fudge became the standard. Beautiful building where you can watch the candy being made along with alot of other food & gift items for purchase. Unique & excellent packaging of items which can also be shipped. Worth the time & the candy is great.
