Wat Tham Khoo Ha

Went here with my friend to see the temple. Very nice place to see over the Mekong River into Laos. To understand the reason for the temple there are three wood benches overlooking the river. The story of the Buddhist Monk who lays to rest their. I like this temple and is a awsome place to visit.

Sao Chaleang

These formations are commonly occurring within Pha Taem National Park and seem unique to the area. They appear to be the result of the effects of weathering (erosion) on the limestone geology over millions of years. There are a number of sites within the park so having a look isn't difficult. The largest individual formation is in the northern area of the national park.

Kaeng Tana National Park

National park, with suspension Bridges, rapid and waterfall, visitor centre

Reviewed By Charn P - Bangkok, Thailand

Kaeng Tana National Park is the same as all national park. With the right weather when activity is possible outdoor, the park offers unlimited potential for nature lovers. However when the weather does not cooperate, the activities greatly reduced. When we visited today, the temperature was very high and it was impossible to stay in the sun more than few minutes at time. We visited two of the most popular attractions for day visit, the rapids and the suspension Bridges. Both were great to explore and enjoy with limited time. FYI the walk on the two suspension Bridges with the island path in between is less than 2 km. take about 45 minutes in casual walk.

Sang Chan Waterfall (Long Ru Waterfall)

Reviewed By BredburyBlue - Bangkok

Drive from the lovely little town of Khong Chiam (it really is a lovely place) north past Pha Taem for an hour to Sang Chan waterfall. Roads close to it were VERY poor...bad potholes. Nice enough waterfall (walk underneath it and out the other side and back to the car park). Worth going to? Not really unless you’re close to it.
On leaving the waterfall, return to the closest village and turn right, go about a km and you'll see a lovely wat with several giant Buddha images. Worth a quick look.

Soi Sawan Waterfall

Reviewed By megaworldasia360 - Phuket, Thailand

The waterfall is actually down a short side track on the trail out to the spectacular view points of Pa Chek and pa Moei which give great views over the Mekong and to Laos beyond. The waterfall isn't anything spectacular compared to others in Thailand but worth a few minutes of your time if you want to cool off.

The Sang Chan Waterfall is definitely worth the walk down the rocky slope. This is a large waterfall through a large circular whole in the rock

2 Color River

Reviewed By Peter B - Kalasin

This is where the River Mun (clear water) runs into the Mekong (generally muddy water) but on our visit both rivers were running exceptional low due to drought conditions. There are a couple of viewpoints signposted and we visited from the high vantage point of Wat Tham Kuha Sawan (separate review) but can also get good view from the bridge crossing the Mun river, but it is not permissible to stop your car on the bridge. Best viewing time would be in the rainy season when the rivers are in full flow.
The photos here do not give a good impression due to the low water levels.
