Cerro De La Cruz

Reviewed By ojaimich

No one wanted to go with me, so after reading about it and the great views,I did this hike solo. Halfway up, I thought it was ominous that this hike starts in a graveyard. I’m in good shape for age 65, but that was an arduous hike! With the helpful hand of a wonderful Tourist Police Officer, I made it all the way up to the cross. ( otherwise impossible for someone like me that’s very short – those steps were really high!) Officer Byron even took great pictures! The views are otherworldly. It was definitely worth it, and the officer kindly escorted me halfway down the very steep steps to make sure I didn’t get hurt. I didn’t think I needed the help, but he really did me a favor – my knees were wobbly on the way down. This is not a hike for someone who’s not in decent shape; I barely qualify. Take a hiking stick, and water.
