The Side Door

The Side Door gets some of the top names in jazz, I don't know how they do it in such an intimate setting. An excellent sound system, always a great vibe. Just off the interstate (I-95) in an excellent inn (The Old Lyme Inn), worth the overnight.

Your time here will be well spent. The walk along the shore on the boardwalk is so relaxing, and wait until you read some of the memorial plaque inscriptions. Almost 2000 at this point in time. Benches are comfortable. People friendly and very welcoming. NO pets. Bill and Fran Niantic, CT

Rocky Neck State Park

Reviewed By pinkfig - Istanbul, Turkey

It is a beautiful beach where green meets the blue! Best part for us was that there are picnic areas just above the beach with great scenery and fire-pans. And there is a large camping ground just behind the beach. Beach is very close and easy to reach from the parking area. There is an oceanfront boardwalk. Also, there are fee beach wheelchairs available. It was very relaxing having a picnic watching over the kids playing and listening to the mixed sounds of waves, breeze, children and boats.
