We would recommend skipping the excursion tour that the cruiseline offers in favor of finding Jose Jean who runs Double The Fun Tours. He brought our group on a 4 hour tour of the island with his personal touch and it was far cheaper than...MoreWe love what we do at DTF tours. Thank you so much

We hired a Harley for the day. Neither of us had ridden one before and we used their recommendations. Controls were shown to us and off we went. It was one of the highlights of our holiday. Definitely repeat when we return. Great service from the dealer.

I loved the time I spent at Joga. The people are amazing and the studio is great. I also highly recommend having something to eat at their restaurant. Its delicious and healthy. Its a really great place to do yoga in St Maarten.

CRUISERS: While at anchor in Simpson Bay Lagoon I attended a Lady's Luncheon with other sailboat cruisers and discovered this little gem which I went to daily while I was in port. The couple who runs the outdoor, poolside cafe are good at what they do. The food and drinks are quite nice. They went out of their way to help me with a special request, and were generally friendly and helpful all week.
We made good use of the wifi and complimentary pool use, and were thrilled with the VERY NICE lockers and shower facilities that we had access to as patrons of the cafe. I also made an appointment for a deep-tissue massage at the spa located inside beside the health club, and was relieved of much stress and pain.
The Country Club is located within the Port de Plaisance complex behind the Casino. The main entrance is on Union Rd next door to Grande Marche' super-grocery store, so we also walked there for provisions and they delivered us and our provisions back to the dingy dock.
The main docks, on the east side of the lagoon close to the Causeway Bridge and across from Snoppy Island, are packed with mega-yachts (we always looked for "Yalla" as our landmark) and the dingy dock is located between the yachts and the small island with reddish-orange rooftops. From the dingy walk east thru parking lots and past the Casino. The Country Club is behind the Casino. Look for the tennis courts, and then just walk in like you belong there, passing the desk at the health club and the locker rooms to your left, going straight thru the lobby out the back to the Cafe by the pool and tennis courts.

I had a pedicure before heading down to my vacation but it got all chipped the first few days that I was in St-Maarten. So I booked a quick appointment just to fix the chips at Salon Boutique Milada. But when I got there, they offered to redo the entire pedicure. Now I am back home and my toe nails haven't chipped once! It is honestly the best mani/pedi I have ever had EVER!
