Kuala Terengganu (Malaysian pronunciation: [ˈkuˈala ˈtəˈrengˈganu] Jawi: كوالا ترڠڬانو, Chinese: 瓜拉登嘉楼; pinyin: Guālādīngjiānú), often abbreviated as K.T., is a city, the administrative capital, royal capital and the main economic centre of Terengganu, Malaysia. Kuala Terengganu is also the capital of Kuala Terengganu District. It is also the only royal capital among the nine royal states of the country that bore its state's name. Kuala Terengganu is located about 440 kilometres northeast of Kuala Lumpur on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The city is situated at the estuary of Terengganu River, facing the South China Sea.

GIve time to yourself to understnad the history of this mosque.This white mosque have a rich history and by looking at their surrounding made us learn a little about that. Tips: 1. Find local during prayer time especially at the night (7pm to 8 pm ) to get know their tradition. 2. Very near to Pasar Payang with walking distance.

This is a free entry Mosque which is just nearby Taman Tamadun Islam. We enjoyed the stunning view of the mosque during the colorful sunset. It is truly amazing. The place is well maintain and peaceful.

Highly recommended to be a `must visit place'' when you are in Kuala Tengannu. Suggest to visit around 4pm so that it is not too hot. there is a scheduled cruise tour that you can take to tour about the park. Don't miss the theaters & museum underneath some of the mosques where you can learn more about the histories of them.

Just looking at the photos online we had to make a quick stop and boy were we in for a treat! The building itself is already quite a sight with its fresh coat of paint against the blue sky. However, if you walk about 5 mins across the pond you will be rewarded with its beautiful jaw dropping reflection! Absolutely instagrammable! Our full review is on Instagram (@monk3yseendo)

This museum is outstanding in any aspects. First of all, its enormous, magnificent yet traditional architecture is the attraction factor for me. Even though I’m not a fan of complex architecture yet Terengganu State Museum managed to spark wee interest towards its unique and beautiful design of the building. Secondly, you get to see the original Terengganu Inscribed Stone. As you explore deeper in the museum, you can’t help but to feel that you’re being transported back to the ancient era as the museum is styled alike the old Malay castle. Terengganu State Museum consists of 4 main blocks in which there are 7 galleries in the museum complex namely Islamic Gallery, Textile Gallery, Royal Gallery, Historic Gallery, Craft Gallery, Petroleum Gallery, and Natural History Gallery. All of the galleries are entertaining and fascinating to be visited. Get ready to be enthralled as unlike any other museum, Terengganu State Museum got lots to offer. Not only showcasing artefacts in the galleries at the main building yet it is also complimented with a Maritime Museum, 5 traditional houses, 2 large boats (Kemajuan and Sabar), beautifully trimmed landscaped area, mini zoo and aquaria. Given that it caters a very wide area so you need to walk there. However, worry not the tram service is ready to take you to the designed destination. The fees for the tram is RM 2 for adult and RM 1 for children. In the Maritime Museum, there are another 2 galleries to be explored: Seafaring and Trade Gallery and Fisheries Gallery ( this gallery is the farthest of the museum complex as it showcases real sized boats thus needing more space ) Usually visitors spent 2 hours strolling around the museum complex so it is crucial to plan your journey. This museum is opened daily at 9 a.m. and closed at 5 p.m. with an exception on Friday and Eid-ul Fitri ( it’s closed) The entrance fees are reasonable. For Malaysian citizen, the fees are RM 5 for an adult and RM 2 for children. Meanwhile for the non-citizen, the fees are RM 15 for an adult and RM 10 for children. On a side note, make sure to hydrate yourself before entering the museum as food and drinks are not allowed inside the building. Also, don’t bother putting on sweaters as it’s pretty hot. A big shout-out to the museum staff for sharing quite an interesting information. To quote the museum staff “It is not because they have malfunctioning air conditioner, it’s just that is the requirements to preserve the artefacts” Time spent so well here. Will surely come again in the future. Now with Grab also making their promotion (valid from 22 Nov 2018-19 Dec 2018), why not makes Terengganu State Museum as your destination list in Kuala Terengganu?

Bukit Puteri is a 208-metre hill that is rich in history. Situated next to the famous Istana Maziah, the hill’s name literally means The Princess Hill and offers panaromic view of the Terengganu River. It was formerly a fortress between 1831 and 1876. Visitors to this highest point in Kuala Terengganu will understand the significance of this stronghold in the past. At present what remains is a large brass bell known as ‘Genta’. It was struck during emergencies as well as notification of important festivals and royal events, chimed at different message tone to the surrounding townsfolk. There are also a family of cannons, flagpole, a lighthouse, cemetery and a fort. Bukit Puteri is accessible by an escalator next to the new Waterfront Heritage Bazaar.
