Duck is a town in Dare County, North Carolina, United States. As of the 2010 census the year round population was 369. During the peak vacation season, starting after Memorial Day, the population increases to over 20,000. Duck is the northernmost incorporated town in Dare County and the Outer Banks' newest town, incorporated on May 1, 2002. Duck offers visitors outdoor recreational activities, summer events and concerts, watersports, fine dining, shopping, art galleries, and a nationally known jazz festival, as well as the 11-acre (4.5 ha) Town Park and soundside boardwalk.

I found out too late about the surf fishing clinic last year. I had stopped by on the way out of town. This year I booked a surf fishing clinic with Mark as soon as we got on the island. Mark is extremely knowledgeable about surf fishing. He started the clinic before we ever got down on the beach. Standing on top of the steps, he pointed out the different breaks and contours explaining what we were seeing and where to fish. He did not disappoint. While we caught A lot of small fish, we did catch a mess of spot, sand mullet and pompano. It was enough for A good sized meal for the crew back at the house. Do your self a favor and take a clinic, they’re extremely affordable and very informative. Thanks Mark!

Love walking on the boardwalk. It's a nice walk, and you are able to stop in at the different shops along the way.

On the day of our arrival I had booked two 1 hour jet ski rides for my 4 children, my aunt and I. Everyone there was super knowledgeable and great at explaining the rules and safety. Everyone in my jet ski had a blast but my other 2 children who rode with my aunt were not so enthusiastic but still had fun. Great time and will definitely go again next time!

Ocean Atlantics rentals made delivery and pick up so easy. We rented four beach cruisers which allowed our teenaged boys to explore and have freedom. Two of the bikes needed to be replaced because of flat tires so I called from the beach and within five minutes, OA had come to the house and taken care of the problem. Very courteous and efficient.
