9 Things to do Good for Couples in Antiparos That You Shouldn't Miss

March 26, 2022 Frederic Celentano

Antiparos (Greek: Αντίπαρος; Ancient Greek: Ὠλίαρος Oliaros) is a small island in the southern Aegean, at the heart of the Cyclades, which is less than one nautical mile (1.9 km) from Paros, the port to which it is connected with a local ferry. Saliagos island is the most ancient settlement in the Cyclades, and Despotiko, an uninhabited island in the southwest of Antiparos, is a place of great archaeological importance.

One of there most magical beaches we have been at in over 30 years across every part of Greece in the Summer. Avoid the crowded sandy part and anchor your boat on the northern part, close to the beautiful rock enclave. You will never want to leave.

Nudist Beach

Reviewed By 994lonniel - Dallas, United States

This trip was my first visit to this or any Greek beach. It was an easy morning stroll to the beach from my rental. There is also a campground here, however the mini mart and restaurant there are closed for the season come September. I was here September 17-19, 2019. The weather was still quite nice for a day of sunning and exploring. The beach is a nice crescent of fine sand that has a series of trails from the parking area. It's very easy access to the water which has a low to mild current. Less crowded in the mornings and starts filling up a bit mid afternoon. I'm sure in the height of the season it gets quite crowded. No facilities what-so-ever. Pack your trash out. For extra adventure, there is another island just across from the beach you can actually wade or swim to and explore nude as well. It's a nice sandy bottom until you reach the other shore, then it's a bit slippery and rocky. Wear water socks and WATCH YOUR STEP! Nisida Diplo Island has a single disheveled stone building and inhabited by a few wandering goats. It was a great couple of days. This is the only official nude beach in all of Greece. Well worth a visit despite its remoteness. Enjoy!!!

Sifneikos Gialos

The Sifneiko beach, also known as Sunset beach, is renowned for it's beautiful sunset and the crystal clear waters. I knew I had to visit this place at least once. The beach is unorganized, meaning there are no loungers or entrance fees. You just lie down on your towel or on the sand and enjoy the beach. The sand is clean, no trash, and there are some rocks around for you to keep your towels from flowing in the wind. The water is also very nice, with few rocks and no algae. There are many spots in the beach that are shallow enough for kids and old people to enjoy the water with no fear. There are no high rocks for teens to dive from. This is a quiet beach for a quiet afternoon and evening. The main attraction of this beach is the famous sunset, giving the beach it's second name, Sunset beach. The scenery is very beautiful and watching the sun go down behind the distant mountain is very serene. There is an elevated, paved spot with stone benches for people to sit down and enjoy the view, though I personally preferred staying on the sandy beach. The beach isn't protected from wind so I recommend checking the weather before going. A little wind won't bother you, in fact it could be fun riding the waves as I did, but a lot of wind makes this beach very chaotic and not a fun swimming experience. Be aware of the weather before visiting. This place is also very romantic, with many couples visiting at all times. If the sea is something you like, consider visiting with your special other. I can't wait to visit this beach again. I highly recommend everyone to visit Sifneiko Beach at least once.

Saint George Beach

Fantastic beach, but I preferred to stay on more secluded part of the beach behind the small church where you have more privacy but no amenities or shade. The water there is super clear and turquoise without any seaweeds and deep enough for great swimming. The surrounding and views of Despotiko are stunning. Of course the main part offers tavern to satisfy your tummy. Also form there you can get the boat trip to Despotiko Island with the Captan Sargos, at the end of September it was needed to call him, the departures from marina start from 11:00.
