A lovely relaxing stay with the added bonus of checking out Anne’s pottery space beneath the accommodation, browsing her gallery and learning about the different pottery techniques and classes available. I’d love to come back for some pottery classes with my kids.

Nestled in the mountain village of Montville the Clock Shop has been importing genuine German clocks for over 25 years and specialises in quality timepieces for all types of decor. Cuckoo clocks are at the heart of this wonderful business. With literally hundreds of cuckoo clocks ticking as you walk through the door of the gorgeous stone and shingle building, you will be amazed at the sheer number of clocks and the enchanting sounds of cuckoos, chimes, and tick tocks as you wander through the store. European Christmas decorations also add to the warmth and charm, almost drawing you away to somewhere deep in the Black Forest in Germany. As well as clocks and Christmas decorations, you'll find watches, German beer steins, music boxes, carvings and other fascinating souvenirs from Germany. We went to this lovely restaurant today with friends. Devonshire tea scones were beautiful and coffee was hot and delicious! But what made our visit special were the two lovely ladies who served us.....friendly, fast service and a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely be back next visit.

We tasted the wine tasting although it was quick. We bought 4 bottles of Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and the Kurrajong Shiraz. And because you buy a dozen, you get free membership - great marketing strategy and we loved it because we love wine.

We visit Castle Glen Cellars every time we are in Montville and always receive very friendly service. We love their choices in Liqueurs and fancy glass bottles. Free taste testing is a must and we have found a few favourites that we keep coming back for. Always something new to try.
