Ravagni since 1421

Ravagni since 1421 is a family business which is mentioned for the first time in 1421 at the Florence Archivies and it's included since 1980 in the list of Italian firms. It's pduction oil, wine, vinegar, seasoned oils, soaps, oil based creams and others particular products are handmade and following their season potentiality. The products are not only sold worldwide, but are used by the family itself, family which moved in this area already since the end of the 12th century. We tried and are still trying to keep the working methods as traditional as possible even if many times quality certifications laws and health laws try to bring you to the omologations of perfumes and tastes relatively to the products you normally find in the commerce.Certainly our products are not the best of the Italy but they surely are simple and true. The Proffesor Giacomo Bartolomeiof Ravagni also prints and edits local and Italian history books and not only this.We have real but also virtual shops but we prefer to invite famalies, school and people coming from all over the world in order that they can see, smell and work if they want...

An amazing and unique experience that captures the heart of Anghiari. We learnt about the historic process of making olive oil, delivered in an interesting and passionate way. Followed by tasting all the delicious flavour infused oils with a light lunch that was made with such love by the wonderful chef. All the way, home made wine was flowing... Francessco was the perfect host. His passion seeps through his products and his enthusiasm is captured in every bottle. This was the best day of Anghiari, a truly different experience. Very authentic not to mention the beautiful views that surrounded us! It’s truly unmissable and truly unforgettable. I would say this is a once in a lifetime experience, but I will be back! Thank you Francesco ❤️

Badia di San Bartolomeo

The artwork in this historic church is incredible. Here's a big tip / warning, don't try to get close to the art to take a picture. There are sensors that set off alarm sirens. First built in 1105, updated 1446, the arch on the front door says 1725. There's a 13th century crucifix in here that is attributed with a miraculous occurrence: A dumb and blind nun kissed this crucifix and she was instantly healed. There is also a polychrome wood statue of the virgin and child made in 1316, carved from a single trunk of a walnut tree. It's a magical place, better than any museum in this town.
