Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit

Mount Panorama is a must visit in Bathurst even if you aren’t crazy about the Supercars. It’s a nice drive (and a public road with speed cameras so don’t get too carried away) and the views from the top are just beautiful (that’s why they call it Mount Panorama)

Kangaroo Boundary Road Reserve

This is a very rare attraction as you are almost guaranteed to see families of kangaroos in a beautiful and natural wilderness on the John Cousins and Kangaroo Walking tracks. There are about 4 kilometres of easy walking with magnificent views across Bathurst to the mountains, and back onto Mount Panorama. The reserve has been lovingly enhanced by local conservation volunteers for many years.

This park adjoins the courthouse complex and continues behind it. It contains a Fern House along with a Begonia House which was filled with incredible begonias of all colours and sizes. A serene and enticing spot.

Great gallery. Currently has the 2019 Archibald Prize touring show and balanced the Sydney centric, celebrity show with local exhibitions, a clever Covid-19 local photographs show, and local young archies self portrait show. Nice space, good shop and it’s free. A good regional gallery gives you a snapshot of local creativity and artistic excellence from elsewhere. And it’s free!
