The province of Olbia-Tempio (Italian: provincia di Olbia-Tempio, Sardinian: provìntzia de Terranòa-Tèmpiu) is a province in the autonomous region of Sardinia, Italy. It has two provincial capitals, Olbia (58,723 inhabitants) and Tempio Pausania (14,342 inhabitants). As of 2015, the province has a total population of 159,950 inhabitants and covers an area of 3,406.18 square kilometres (1,315.13 square miles), so has a population density of 46.96 inhabitants per square kilometer. The Guide (Luca) is a very nice and fun person. You can really tell he knows a lot about sardignia and wants to let you have the best experience possible. The Hike through the moon valley was very beautiful and interesting through the various information about the plants, history and culture given to us by Luca. I would recommend it to everyone who wants to have a little adventure and learn about sardignia in a compact fashion.

Matteo conducted this tour for myself and another solo traveller. It was very interesting and Matteo is very knowledgeable and was flexible to suit the types of things we wanted to see on this tour. Matteo spoke English very well and also injected plenty of humour into his dialogue! We finished the day at a fantastic agroturismo restaurant and Matteo was able to describe the dishes and local customs to us. We had a great day and wouldn't hesitate to recommend both Matteo and the tour!

7. GRANITE & WINE OF GALLURA (North East Sardinia)

This is a must-see tour around the spectacular granite rocks of Gallura: Arzachena, Palau, Porto Rafael and Forte Cappellini. Sardinia and the neighbouring island of Corsica are the most ancient lands of Europe, with granite rocks that took shape in the Paleozoic era, more than half billion years ago. It is in the middle of these rocks that, one of the best wines of Sardinia originates: the Vermentino. At the end of the tour we stop at the SURRAU cellar where you will taste one of the best Vermentino wines, together with Sardinian homemade bread, olives, a selection of Sardinian cheeses and cold cuts.
