Modern in design, each room is fitted with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Breakfast is served each morning; made with the highest quality produce from local suppliers. Brannens is also home of to the Nephin Begers Walking Club and the Newport Kayaking Club. John Brennan, proprietor and host, is an avid hiker and kayaker and he is happy to discuss the area to ensure you get the best out of your stay.

Reviewed By Billhyland911The place looked the same as it was two yrs ago both inside and out but you cannot improve on perfection. As ever John was a great host and all the amenities were in place. The staff are most obliging and as soon as you walk in you feel at home. A delightfully clean bar served with a smile to all. Keep up the good work.

Great variety of food with many options to chose, great people that treat you so kind, and the lend you the brand new bikes for to do the local trip in the green way. Is close to the beach mulrany. Inside the hotel the rooms are so confortable and clean. I recommend totally arrived here on your greenway trip.

Reviewed By nigel aI had arranged an arrival time online but there was a notice on the door asking "If you arrive, ring this number". So I did and the person was inside. That cost me 2-euro on my pay-as-you-go mobile. She clearly was not expecting me and showed me to the wrong room. When she showed me to the right room, I found the hot water was not working. So I was moved to a third room which was OK. The owner had not informed her of my arrival or she had forgotten. Either way, this was unacceptable. As it was, I got a slightly better room and everything else was OK.

When we arrived we were greeted with warmth and kindness by our wonderful host and B&B owner Nuala. We enjoyed tea and homemade scones in the lounge on arrival - a real treat ! Our bedroom was bright clean and sparkling. Breakfast each morning was wonderful .. pancakes to die for...homemade breads..fresh fish .. my personal favorites ! Nuala never seemed to busy to answer our questions and give us information about the local area .You won't be disappointed staying here. Thank you Nuala

Reviewed By JenniferN1957I couldn’t say enough for the staff of this B and B. They really were so welcoming and friendly. Can’t fault it for what we paid. Could ask for anything and I’d say they’d try their best to give it to you. My friend didn’t drink coffee or tea so they left green tea in our room (it’s the small things!). Breakfast was great too. Perfect location if you’re looking to do the Greenway!

Reviewed By T1522RZannemWe had a great stay here at the Hotel Newport. The staff is fantastic!! Everyone was helpful and friendly. We had lots of questions and no question was too small or big. The lobby is lovely and welcoming. The rooms are nice as well as the bathrooms. We enjoyed the restaurant as. The staff, atmosphere and food were lovely. We would definitely stay here again!

It's just not a good feeling ....
Reviewed By Birgit_und_Claus..... when it's cold outside and it's raining and we have to realize at 5pm after a long drive that we have confused the dates of pre-booked B & Bs and want to arrive on the day of departure. Searching the Internet shows: Greenway View B & B, 15 km away, still has capacities. Booking, driving, arriving and being amazed: Margret's tastefully decorated, brand new restaurated B & B will be our home for the next 4 days. The room is spotlessly clean, has enough space for 2 people, including the wardrobes, with free Wifi and a breakfast is served according to our expectations. What should not available today will be offered the next day. Our hostess is very attentive and successfully endeavors to fulfill our small and bigger wishes. She even takes time to share information, although she likes to make her life very active after retiring Although we are very well versed in Ireland, Margret gives us tips that only locals know - thank you for that as well. Sometimes fate even holds a positive surprise in its hand. Without any doubt again a very rare gem in our long B & B list. Thank you, dear Margret, we felt really good and will definitely come back.
