Welcome to Apakabar Homestay, our Anglo-Norman style guesthouse with Indonesian ambience. We are located in La Rochette, a small green and suburban town less than 10 minutes walk from the train station Melun (30 minutes by direct train Paris-Gare de Lyon) and the forest of Fontainebleau. Ideal location to visit the nearby castles (Vaux Le Vicomte, Blandy-les-Tours, Fontainebleau) or Barbizon painter’s village. We make available to our guests: - 3 double rooms (Java, Lombok and Borneo) equipped with a shower room (toilets shared on the landing) and free wifi access. The common areas include a dining room, a lounge with TV and piano, and a small lounge with sofa, desk and mini fridge. - An independent apartment of 60 m2 including a room of 18 m2 (double bed, sofa bed), a bedroom with 2 single beds, living room, kitchen and bathroom with toilet. Indonesian dinner available under request (20€ per person including starter, main course, dessert and coffee), with a minimum of two people.

Reviewed By Henry fWe stayed one night but were made to feel very welcome,. the Owner even brought wine to our room on arrival. Breakfast was excellent with the international flavor of great hosts. We will stay again if traveling in this area

Reviewed By merry58We stayed one night as a stop gap on our journey as my partner works in France. Josette was marvellous and could not do enough to make us feel welcome and happy. We had a garden studio which was immaculately clean. Comfortable bed and little kitchenette to make drinks. Nice desk to work at and Wi-Fi. The bathroom had plenty of towels and again spotless ! The garden was lovely , I can imagine its great in the summer! We had breakfast in the main house ,which was superb,the crockery cutlery was beautiful all presented first class. Fresh fruit salad, fresh bread and croissants, yoghurt and egss cooked to your liking,plus Josettes home made jam !!! We had such a good laugh with her too her personality is wonderful. Josette even helped my partner pack a large brocante bottle he had bought, to take it home providing tape string etc. The only down side for me personally, were all the steps as I have a bad back and my partner has a bad hip ! We are 60 !! Apart from that it's fabulous !!! Highly recommend this lovely place with the best hostess x

Reviewed By patmiegWe love this place, a perfect location for a long or short stay during your holiday. Situated close to the center of Melun and along the river Seine. Easy to go anywhere from here, Paris, Disney, walks, cycle tours etc etc Super friendly owners, lots of space and a beautiful green campsite. We always go here to stay for a few days on the way home, traveling by car and caravan. Al you need is available for a good and quite stay, beautiful new swimming pool, playgrounds, clean wash and toilet blocks, baguette in the morning. Not to forget to mention, they speak many different languages, pay a visit to their website to find out more. Can highly recommend to go there!
