White Pegasus Horse Ride and Treks Day Tours

Horse rides and treks for all ages and levels in one of Greece’s most beautiful environments, Papigo, one of 46 villages in the Zagori region, in the heart of the National Park of Northern Pindos. Enjoy the sunset as it paints the majestic cliff faces a deep sultry red while riding among the forefeet of the spectacular Astraka peak (2,436m). You can also admire the endemic wildlife watching golden eagles and kestrels soaring above and hunting the smaller prey of the area. And on a lucky day you might be able to catch a glimpse of a fox, badger, hare or wild boar or see a brown bear scrambling along the cliff faces.

This delightful little shop and coffee shop is run by a family that produces all the produce that is sold in the shop and restaurant. From the wine to the hand made souvenirs and the ice cream. A true little gem that represents the people of this beautiful little town. Make sure to try the chocolate ice cream cake and the lemonade on a hot day.

Papingo Rock Pools

The pools are very close to the main road. They look amazing and they are very inviting on a hot summer's day. The water is quite chilly but not impossible to swim in. You can go along the stream as it gets more and more beautiful and you can discover little frogs and even little water snakes or leeches.

Hunters of the Ice Age in the Voidomatis Valley Trail

Reviewed By theopepp - Athens, Greece

I takes a couple of hours to go from Aristi Bridge to Kleidonia Bridge. The path is smooth and is almost along Voidomatis river. Even if you haven't arranged for someone to pick you up from Kleidonia Bridge. you just make a u-turn and go back. Hiking pleasure at its best
