Ongole is a city in Prakasam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The city is a municipal corporation and the headquarters of Prakasam district. It is also the mandal headquarters of Ongole mandal in Ongole revenue division. The city is the 13th most populous in the state. Ongole is known for its Ongole cattle, a breed of oxen. This is one of the world's major zebu cattle breeds.

Its just a 5 Hour Drive from Hyderabad...nice atmosphere...Brindavan resort has good rooms attached to beach..best thing is no mosquitoes..A good 2 day trip can be suggested.
