Mary Jo Peckham Park

Known as the "park for all children."

This park has lots of features. Though it helps to be a Harris County resident to use many of them. Kids playground. Fishing pond. Koi pond. Miniature golf. 1 mile outside trail. Swimming pool with activities. Yoga and Zumba classes. Plenty of exercise machines. Ball fields. Locker rooms. Benches. Etc. My daughter and I would often feed the ducks and fish. Vultures seem to be a bit too tame.

It has many great restaurants. Dish Society is my favorite. Good place to go with kids, AS there are several playground areas. Sometimes they show movies on big screens. The clothing shops are good too. Not the typical shopping mall brands. Good athmosephere, daytime and nighttime. You should check it out!

While visiting my grandchildren in Katy, Texas, my daughter took us to this local park. The splash pad was closed due to the season, but the play ground was FUN! We saw several families enjoying the park and a wheelchair bound individual flying a kite with his nephew. The park was clean and had benches and picnic tables.

Memorial Park

Reviewed By M J - Austin, Texas

My husband and I have vacationed in Rockport a few times. We are always looking for a new place to visit there. We found the Memorial Park on TripAdvisor. There is a baseball park and playscape at the entrance. After driving through the first half of the park, we crossed over a low water crossing and into an area with trails. Rockport had just experienced some flooding and most of the trails were underwater but we enjoyed the trails that were passable. There is a large fenced area for small dogs to run free and another large fenced area for large dogs. There was a short pier at a medium sized pond. We stood at the end and watched lots of birds and turtles. On my next trip, maybe the entire trail will be open. You might need bug spray and suntan lotion.

The Katy Market Day is essentially a flea market in the parking lot of the COTHA church. Most of the vendors are food sellers, but there are a few attractions available. On the particular day that I went, I was fairly impressed with the booth...MoreHi Txmmoore, The market you are mentioning above is NOT Katy Market Day. Katy Market Day is in Historic Downtown Katy on Ave B & 2nd St. - not in a Church parking lot. Please remove your review. Thanks, Katy Market Day
