Kapunda Visitor Information Centre

Reviewed By bullish2016 - Balranald, Australia

The very knowledgeable lady on the staff at the info centre gave us a short talk on the history of Kapunda, and after directing us to the basement exhibition, which was one of the best I've seen, then recommended to take the mine trail around town. Even the old and well preserved places between those on the map were interesting to see why this town is so proud of its heritage. A must visit for anyone staying or passing throughthe region. Only about 20 km leisurely drive out from the Barossa.

Allow plenty of time to view this time piece and don’t forget to go next door to view the war museum. This group has done an amazing job and it truly is amazing.

Visited on Wednesday 11th March. Very interesting and well worth checking out. Info boards give you the history of the town and connection with Cornwall UK.

It's an interesting walk back in time for a historic walk. I absolutely love the sculpture. Well worth taking the time to visit.

Pines Conservation Reserve

Reviewed By sandfly12016 - Adelaide, Australia

There's a picnic area and clearly marked walking trails. It's maintained by volunteers who do a great job of carrying for the area. There's signs that give you an insight into the history of the area. Generally a great place to hang out for a few hours.
