Moses Bridge

Reviewed By ria492015 - Bergen op Zoom, The Netherlands

If you spend a day in Bergen op Zoom, you can go to Fort de Roovere, where you van find the Moses bridge, The Pompejus tower and The Schaft where you can drink coffee, tea an wonderful apple pie or beer from Bergen op Zoom. If you walk over the bridge you can touch the water. Especially children like that very much. Ans you can make a beautiful walk on the Brabantse Wall. You don"t have to pay for the bridge and the tower. Makes it a nice and cheap day!

Fort De Roovere

Reviewed By Roch65 - Ottawa, Canada

We thoroughly enjoyed discovering Fort De Roovere. We climbed the steps of the Pompejus watchtower, which is about 80 feet high and leans at a 60 degree angle. We took in the view from the top of the tower. The bridge, which I believe is called the Moses bridge, is a sunken bridge which is almost at the same level as the water. I love bridges and this was a memorable experience.

Pompejus

Reviewed By fredlandsbergen - Rotterdam, The Netherlands

If you want to have a wonderful experience in the woods of Bergen op Zoom, you have to visit Fortress De Roovere at the Ligneweg. Without paying you can walk to this most amazing bridge and climb the viewtower where you can see the surroundings. There is a small cafetaria, called “de Schaft”, run by two nice ladies. Holland has a lot of Bridges, but this one by the architects of the tower Ro-Ad, is the one you’ll remember
