Tripiti beach is considered to be the top field trip in Gavdos Island. You can visit the place by boat/yatch or on foot either from Korfos or Vatsiana. From Korfos the trail is about 4km long. From Vatsiana Village is closer about 3km but more difficult. I recommend to wear the necessary hiking shoes. (SOS) The water was crystal clear...deep blue. It's ideal for snorkelling. Usually during the day is really hot so don't forget to carry water with you. There is no canteen over there so it's important to carry something to eat and drink. The atmosphere over there is magic and sometimes there are naturists enjoying the beach there. This is the southern beach of Europe and it's great. The beach is rocky and there is no sand. I totally recommend this field trip.

3. Lavrakas Beach

the beach is much smaller than Agios Ioannis, 15' walk further, but it is quite desert in june. The clear water well gives you the possibility to shower after sea bath, or drink if you lack mineral water bottles. The sea is crystal clear, beach is clean, little shadow close to the sea...but you feel free and quiet...in june

Saint John Beach is considered to be one of the best beach of Greece. To reach the beach you must follow a 1km trail. The trail is easy. The beach is sandy and it is ideal for snorkelling. The water is magnificent and it offers a magic experience and feelings. The prevailing feeling of freedom and happiness is strong. Don't forget to carry your water and snack with you. A negative fact may be that it is crowdy and a lot of people camp around the area. During July and August there are more than 500 campers over there. The area is full of naturists but there are families as well. The experience is unique and this destination is MUST. Don't miss it.

5. Gavdos Lighthouse
