I have had the pleasure of accompanying my daughter and her classmates over the last two years(pre-school and Kindergarten) for field trips. Mr. Dave Ellis is wonderful and so good with the young kids and making nature fun for all. We are so fortunate to have a gem like this in Fergus Falls.

Disappointing that the museum isn't open on Saturdays. For those of us that work can't enjoy this. it would also be nice for travelers to be open on weekends

If you like to watch racing then this is the place to come to in Fergus Falls. Just off I-94 and convenient parking, fast food and lots of excitement. BRING A JACKET! It does get a bit chilly in the fall but if you like car racing it will be worth your time.

Renovated in the early 1990's, this tree-lined main street now sports flowers, benches and old-fashioned streetlights as well as shops, cafes and a large theater.
There's a good assortment of commerce here, including some neat original storefronts from the 60s. Unfortunately, most places were closed down by 4:00pm on Saturday, including coffee shops. The good thing is that there aren't any chain stores here, which means the store owners are probably home enjoying their Saturdays instead of working.

Founded in 1921, this theatre has been renovated as a performing arts center seating close to 500 people.
Our family went to see Fiddler on the Roof here and we were so glad that we did. Michael helped me book the tickets online and he was so helpful. We were actually in the front row which was perfect for the kids as well as the hearing-impaired adults. The performance itself was top notch! There was a live orchestra which was phenomenal. They have booster seats for the kids which was awesome for my four year old. They serve popcorn as well as candy and sodas. Last year we were here for a children's performance of Aladdin which was also great. Fergus is so fortunate to have this beautiful theater! I can't wait to see what will be performed next summer!

The GPS was a little off, but it got us to the right area . If you turn left onto S. Burlington into Adams Park right after the DQ Grill & Chill on Vernon Ave. you will be in the right spot. The large otter is named, Otto, and sits in Adams Park overlooking Grotto Lake. I read that it was built in 1972 by local high schoolers as a contribution to the town's centennial celebration. He's 40 feet long and is made of metal covered in concrete. There was a picnic table right beside him and another family climbed on top of him. There was also a memorial park (Angel Of Hope Memorial Park) for people that had lost children to the left of it which was very well done. There is a lake with several white birds nesting in the trees. There's a bench where you can sit and watch. There were lots of geese too. There was a playground for children. We did have our dog (on a leash) with us, so it was nice that it is dog friendly too. It was a pretty park, and you can't beat a big, quarky statue with loads of personality and free!

Bowling Center
The title says it all. Throw on the shoes, order a great burger and fried and get ready to smile and laugh. Then again, if you are really serious as a bowler.....this is also the place, they have some amazing bowlers there as well.

The first thing you will notice about this park are the extremely lovely birds. The trees are so full of the exquisite nesting birds. We really enjoyed just watching these graceful birds building their nests. Then a little ways down is an enormous statue of an OTTER. The kids around were having a grand time climbing on it. Then the sad part was a memorial to children who have died. It was quite moving and tasteful. You must go there is so much to see in this park. Kind of hard to find but just ask any local where the giant Otter is and you will get good directions
