I stayed there over the Labor Day weekend. It was pretty AWESOME! I actually camped out, but there is plenty lodging available with rustic mountain feel. Onsite volleyball and fire pits. If you like fishing the waters have bass and trout... boy where they popping. If you want a action there is GREAT water-rafting on the Nokichuckey Gorge, paddling and tubing on the lower part of the river. I cannot say enough about the staff, they make you feel like you known them for years and you need ANYTHING... they are right there for you. Did I mention that your RIGHT ON THE RIVER and the view is to die for! If you never been there... YOUR MISSING OUT!

This hike is very popular with hikers, runners and bikers. It's a nice soft path with wild life (birds, chipmunks, snakes, deer and seldom a bear) and beautiful plants (love eating the blackberries along the way). At the top you can climb the tower and see at 3 counties: Unicoi, Elizabethton and Washington.

Tennessee Hills Distillery

Tennessee Hills Distillery is the dream and vision of our founder, Stephen Callahan. The distillery is located in Jonesborough, Tennessee's oldest town, and housed in the very historic Salt House building which was constructed in the1840s and used to store salt during the Civil War era. The building has gone through a very rigorous renovation process and provides the perfect venue for any tourist visiting Jonesborough. While at the distillery, visitors have the opportunity to witness every aspect of our liquor making process such as mashing/fermenting to the final distillation in our hand-made copper stills that were built by the fellas at Tennessee Hills Distillery, as well as our bottling and packaging processes. The facility also provides a tasting bar that will allow our customers and tourist to experience and purchase all of our Tennessee Hills products.

This is the far east outpost on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail (Tennessee's comparable to Kentucky's Bourbon Trail). Nolichucky River

This scenic river is great for white water rafting.

Reviewed By Laura C

We went rafting today as a group of 13 and had blast! We had kids ages 10-17, us, and grandparents with us and everyone had fun. We were in three rafts, and our guide's name was Red. He was personable, funny, and went out of his way to make me feel safe and to help the kids have fun. We stopped for lunch and swimming. The lunch was good (make your own sandwiches, chips, fruit, carrots, hummus, and cookies.) We learned about the Nolichucky River and area and had a fun family day. This was most of our groups first time rafting so I was a little nervous and didn't know what to expect. Not once did I feel unsafe on the trip. The guides reviewed all safety precautions with us prior to the trip. I would highly recommend this day trip! Next time we are going to plan a overnight trip! Thank you USA raft!

Large mountain spring fed, concrete swimming pool that takes your breath away 'till you get used to it. Numerous picknick tables and grills; large camping area with hook-ups at cheap rates, and there's even a place for tents at a cheaper rate. An added feature is an outdoor areana with entertainment on Friday nights provided by the Erwin Kiwanis Club. Some of the entertainers have gone on to be quite famous. I enjoy Rock Creek Park and am glad I live close by.

My family and I had an unforgettable and fantastic experience. Patrick was our guide and was very entertaining, skilled, and knowledgeable. He was very watchful of our group and of the other groups in our brigade. Also, the lunch was healthy and delicious, and the guides were conscious of different diets (vegetarian options). The Wahoo office was clean, and Patrick and the other guides were safety-oriented. My family and I felt safe the whole journey. The store was also stocked with some important last-minute items you may need (croakies for glasses, dry bags, etc...). The bus rides to and from the river were also a lot of fun. Make sure to bring cash for tipping your guides generously (I wish I had brought more, these hard-working guys certainly deserve it).

Fender's Farm and Corn Maze

Reviewed By Chase C

Went to Fender's with another family. They offer a wide array of activities. Zip lines, corn maze, haunted attractions, paintball, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, and play areas. I would highly recommend this if you are looking for some fall fun. The corn maze is great and has 10 checkpoints. The corn maze will most likely get you lost! It is the first corn maze I've been to that is actually confusing. Walking through the corn maze was much better at dark. It was much better than most as the walking path within the maze was in good condition. Many corn mazes I've been to have corn stalks and other debris in the walkway, and are like walking through a field. This one has a much smoother path. There are some rough spots in the path, but overall much better than most. I wouldn't advise going if the weather has been rainy because it is still a dirt path. Overall a pleasant experience that will earn a repeat trip.
