If you like fossils, U-Dig is an incredible place. We paid for 4 hours and cracked rock the entire time. Found about a dozen decent trilobites plus sea sponges and algae. It is an experience you'll never forget!

This is one of the best WWII Incarceration Camp museums in the U.S. Actually President Harry Truman referred to them as "Concentration Camps." The origins of this museum began as a local High School project with many following years of fundraising. The Museum Foundation also purchased almost the entire remains of the Topaz camp site about a 20-25 minute drive Northwest of the town of Delta. During my tour of the museum, I spoke with other visitors as well as doscents of the museum. I recommend dining locally @ Ashton's Burger Barn and a drive to the actual Topaz Camp site.

We were bowled over by the attendant's assertion that the 1940's "concentration camp" for Japanese-Americans near Delta was "necessary" and wasn't all that bad (in spite of the fact that tens of thousands of US citizens were interned without judicial process and held behind barbed-wire fences for nearly four years). Once she got on that subject, she went on and on and on about it. This, despite the fact that the Camp Topaz Museum next door told a very different story. Her diatribe ruined what would otherwise have been a visit to a great collection of things.

The site of a concentration camp where thousands of Japenese-Americans were forced to relocate from California during World War II. Emotional for me. None of the buildings remain on the square-mile site. There is a small memorial on one corner of the site plus the Topaz Museum 15 miles away in Delta has a small guide to follow in wandering through the gravel streets of the site.

This is down a gravel/dirt road about 20 miles. Once you navigate through the cattle gates through an old abandoned farmstead you come upon a huge lave field from an ancient volcano. The road dead ends at the base of a steep bluff and at the top sits the great stone face. Carved by wind and rain it does resemble a face but the early Mormons believed it was the face of their founder Joseph Smith and a sign from God that they had arrived at their promised land. There is also a huge rock with Indian petroglyphs.

Fun place to go if you like dirt track racing.
Check there schedule at Millardcountraceway.com for race schedules.
Very enjoyable especially if you hate large crowds and traffic congetion before and after the races. If you arrive early you can see the cars and talk to the drivers for a small fee.
Open seating so you can pick your favorite spot to sit.
Great group of people working there.

The Sunset View golf course has some fun & challenging golf holes that play through an area with very tall sagebrush (e.g., #11 thru #13). These holes are well designed and make it worth the trip to Delta, Utah just to play them. The remaining holes are typical small town muni golf, flat and open, but still enjoyable, with beautiful, wide-open views in every direction.
