These "natural waterslides" are just a short hike from any of the campsites around La Junta, and incredibly fun! The water is icy cold, but if you visit in the summer it is quite refreshing. Just be careful on the slippery granite!

We did the 3d 2n family trip with this OUTSTANDING family owned company. Fabian, a Cochamo local is the head guide and runs the business with Tatiana his sister and one other employee. Fabian is friends & rock climbing buddies with Daniel the owner of Refugio Cochamo and gets you lodging there as part of your tour. You start out in Cochamo with their mom's delicious manjar cake and load the dry bags. The ride was muddy(we rode after a week of solid rain so the trail was horrid) but the horses are amazing and Fabian is a brilliant and patient guide. He thought our 7 y/o girls would only tolerate a shorter ride so took the horses up to the trailhead alone and we drove up and met him there and Tati took the car back to the base camp for us, he also tailored our hikes around the valley to be tolerated by our girls and cooked our meals at the lodge and 2 great trail lunches. Tatiana was also patient when I couldn't get the down payment to her from outside Chile and messed up the final amount of money I owed, she worked with us to settle the bill after we left town since there is no cash machine there. I couldn't say enough about the knowledge, professionalism, friendliness, and honesty of this business, I think it is one of the best in Chile if not South America, highly recommended for a beautiful, scenic, relaxing fun and wonderful vacation.

Stop here first (end of road), take the 30 boat ride, then go back down to Petrohue falls. Both in same National Park. Gorgeous spot!

Our trip to Cochamó was very adventurous and awesome. The Valle provides each visitor an amazing wildlife experience! There are also se trails and campings to enjoy even more this southern part of Chile.

El viaje, es casi una expedición que requiere del día entero. Hay que partir temprano, en auto, ya que el camino es dificil, largo, y de tierra en tramos largos. Hay que coordinar de antemano con Henrietta que es la dueña, para que tenga una embarcación que lo cruce desde Puelo al Parque, que es una reserva natural. Hay un paisaje privilegiado, un parque entero frente al mar y a un volcán. Muchas zonas para caminar, con zonas de dificultad, le permiten acceder a una cascada de agua muy helada pero hermosa. Luego volver a un almuerzo de muy buena calidad, carnes y ensaladas orgánicas con papas recién cocechadas y frambuesas frescas. muy bueno.
Henrietta es muy amable y dispuesta a mostrar todos los atractivos del lugar. El único puno decepcionante eran las aguas termales, que son pequeños pozones de no mas de 50 cm de profundidad casi helados y pequeños. No valen la pena. Pero el resto del paisaje si. Hay que pensar que es un día de trecking en un lugar bellísimo y natural en un parque hermoso, con una vegetación nativa exhuberante, para mi gusto si estás alojado cerca, vale la pena ir. Si estás lejos es mejor quedarse a dormir, son unas piezas sencillas, de madera con baño privado o compartido, y por lo que pudimos apreciar de las habilidades culinarias de Henrietta debe ser muy buena la comida.
