Clear Blue Caraibes

The Clear Blue Caraibes Econautique Center offers you an excursion to explore the seabed by transparent canoe or bicycle. A great adventure! See reef fish, corals and take exclusive photos .... _ You hoped one day to see under the water without getting wet? This dream has now become reality. Indeed, a new boat has appeared in the French West Indies: the molokini, a fully transparent canoe. But at Les Saintes, we wanted to take the experience a step further and would like to introduce you to what is called "turquoise tourism". This form of tourism is defined as participation in green tourism activities on blue water. In other words, observe, without disrupting, underwater ecosystems. We found, to do this, the means - the molokini, the hanauma and the biosub - and the place - one of the most beautiful bay in the world, the bay of Saintes. The molokini and the hanauma The product comes directly from Hawaii and was designed by architect Brian Trenhall. Made of polymer, this canoe is transparent, light and resistant. Ideal for underwater observation. An educational excursion for 7 to 77 year olds A unique and pleasant activity, because the molokini, the hanauma and the biosub are in the transparency allows to admire and to identify corals and fishes sitting in their boat. The boats are stable, and comfortable thanks to its adjustable seats. The purpose of this excursion is not to compete, but to contemplate. A turquoise activity The bay of Saintes is part of the most beautiful club of the world. Imagine going in search of corals, wreckage and exotic fish, and take exclusive photos of the seabed without getting wet or disturbing them. The molokini, the hanauma and the biosub allow to navigate to magical places, shallow and hardly accessible. It is from inside the "aquarium" that the man discovers this spectacle of a preserved fauna and a flora. "The underwater depths are not static and change as each cyclone passes," said Christian Thummen, "some species are becoming rarer, corals too, but their richness and diversity remain impressive. We must go to Les Saintes to find the equivalent. »Christian Thummen, The underside of the Pigeon islands (reserve Cousteau), Destination Guadeloupe, no 22, March April May, 2006 - With the Molokini, we can not hope for a more environmentally friendly way to make people aware of the protection of fauna and submarine flora while introducing them to this wonderful sport of kayaking. The arrival on the island of transparent vessels fits perfectly with the concerns and the constant desire to develop the green tourism of its founders: a couple of Quebec entrepreneurs based in Saintes - a professor of communication and ecologist. She can compete in a dragon boat and canoe trips. The other is an organizer and a designer in the soul. He set up a project to clean up the St. Lawrence River in Quebec for 22,000 young people (ONET'85). An activity that adapts to the wind The club is located in the fortified walls of one of the oldest military barracks in the West Indies. Its activities are aimed at sports enthusiasts as well as admirers of the seabed. Depending on the weather, the guide establishes routes offering the maximum chance of observing underwater life. Special price for groups of 10 people or more.

Overall great experience, but would also make sure you make reservations, and, follow up to make sure all confirmed (as a small local company). Nice folks too that speak mostly French. Highly recommend using and doing a golf cart or even e-bike, especially if you plan on going to the fort (long tuff walk). We enjoyed exploring the entire island also.

We arrived in Terre De Haute on Seabourn Odyssey cruise ship and decided to hire an electric buggy for the day. We found Aqua Blue and Pierre, the owner, was very helpful, explained how to operate the buggy and gave us good advice on where to go on the island. It was a great way to see the island in such a short time and we would certainly recommend Aqua Blue for buggy hire - value for money and great service

Plage de Pompierre

Reviewed By J_travelB - Guelph, Canada

This beach was a fairly easy walk from the central part of town with good sineage to follow. Big wide, flat beach with lots of palm trees for shade and some picnic tables to use. No beach chairs or beach 'sellers-of-goods' around at all. There was a small restaurant up the little street from the beach where you would be able to get lunch or beverages, bit mone on the beach itself. Nice clean beach. Well- protected from wind and waves with the islands around it. The snorkeling was ok, bit disappointing. I heard from folk who went to Sugarloaf beach the snorkeling was great there, next time we will try that beach. This beach is a nice beach to relax on and enjoy the day. Great for swimming. No sargassum while we were there in mid-December.
