Kadampuzha Bhagavathy Temple

Reviewed By harikn - Secunderabad, India

We visited the famous Kadampuzha Bhagavathi temple associated with history on 13 Dec in the AN at 4 PM. Normally there are many visitors during the morning hours up to 12 noon and there is no crowd in the AN. The temple closes at sunset. The temple has been recently renovated and the steps, about 60 in number, leading to the temple down below have been cemented with railings to help elders. The place is clean with restrooms and restaurants nearby. There is ample parking.

Reviewed By KrishnanU_13 - Bengaluru, India

Thirunavaya is a place where he history of Kerala is closely associated. The famed " Mamankam ( Mahamagam)" used to happen at the banks of Bharathapuzha at Thirunavaya. Thirunavaya is one of most famous places for conducting rituals for ancestors and every day hundreds of people visit the place for doing the "tarpanam". Nava Mukunda temple is at the banks of Bharathapuzha ( also known as Nila). Typical Kerala temple - peaceful and serene environment that offers a great divine experience. Dress code apply - Mundu required and men need to remove shirt for entering the temple. Well maintained temple. There is a parking area on the main road and the temple is around 3minute walk from the road. The ghat where the rituals for ancestors are performed is next to the temple.
