Snohomish is a city in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. The population was 9,098 at the 2010 census. The mayor of Snohomish is John T. Kartak and the interim city administrator is Steve Schuller. Snohomish prides itself for its historical downtown, and is known for its many antique shops. Snohomish is also referred to as the "Antique Capital of the Northwest." The historic business and residential center of the town constitutes the Snohomish Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Many houses bear plaques with the year the house was built and the name of the people who originally occupied it. Each year the city gives tours of the historic houses; one of them, the Blackman House, is a year-round museum. A general aviation airfield, Harvey Airfield, is less than one mile southwest of downtown Snohomish.

Balloon Depot

Fly with our commercially licensed pilots in a colorful hot air balloon! Our guests help us with the inflation, then rise above the earth on a safe, yet exciting and exhilarating flight. The flights start soon after sunrise or just before sunset when the air is at its calmest. As the balloons can only drift with the wind once they are launched, we make our ascent upwind of an area known to have a large number of good landing sites. For this reason our launch sites vary depending on the wind direction at flight time. Flights are of course weather permitting. We at the BALLOON DEPOT have been flying in the beautiful valleys of the Puget Sound region since 1978; this long, accident-free experience enables us to provide you with the best possible flight. We may brush through the treetops, sweep down over a field of wildflowers, skim over a pond, or climb high above the earth for a spectacular view. Each flight is a unique experience.

Over The Rainbow

Over the Rainbow has been offering Hot Air Balloon rides in Woodinville Washington over the wine district for 28 years.Since we are only 20 miles from Seattle, tourist and natives alike come out for little half day trips to Woodinville to enjoy their hot air balloon ride and check out the tourist/wine district. On our balloon rides you enjoy spectacular views looking over Lake Washington at the Seattle Skyline. Beyond that is Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountain Range. Let’s not leave out Mount Rainier it is so big and beautiful that my passengers often ask me if we are going to make it to the mountain and I reply I hope not since Rainier is about 60 miles away and the average balloon flight covers a distance of 6-10 miles. Looking back towards the east is the Cascade Mountain Range. The Cascades divide Washington running north and south.

Centennial Trail

So, I just started on a walking thing since it’s gotten nicer outside and since we’ve sheltered in place. Walks are a good way to just see other folks/strangers while still staying a safe distance. Been walking Centennial Trail in all directions and going about 2 miles/day. I love this walk because you can end up in downtown Snohomish (shoot...can’t stop at the bakery though for a snack) or you can walk forever in a wooded area with an occasional bicyclist going by. It’s a great walk since it’s easy for young to old. Do it!!

This is one of the better matted driving ranges in the area. First off, they do not use limited flight balls like some of the other ranges, which is huge when practicing yardages. Next, they have a Trackman unit available for rent, which is also huge for dialing things in. Now, that said, they also have plenty of family fun with the putt-putt course on-site as well. I do wish the putting green was included with the range, but the minimal extra charge for it is mainly due to the fact they need to keep up the facilities. New to 2018 - the pro shop is getting outfitted with more and more gear every day. This is nice to see, though I'd love to see some additional brands added to the club selections. Also, the addition of a very solid teaching professional has made SVGC a great place to learn the game or get your swing fixed a bit when it goes a bit wonky. Overall, if you are looking for a fun night out, head down to SVGC and enjoy a bucket and a round of mini-golf. - One side note: if you have valuable wedges and irons, you may want to avoid the grass tees as they contain a pretty heavy amount of sand in the sub turf and can easily scratch up the finishes on your clubs and even damage the face.
