Milpitas /mɪlˈpiːtəs/ is a city in Santa Clara County, California. It is located with San Jose to its south and Fremont to its north, at the eastern end of State Route 237 and generally between Interstates 680 and 880 which run roughly north/south through the city. With Alameda County bordering directly on the north, Milpitas sits in the extreme northeast section of the South Bay, bordering the East Bay and Fremont. Milpitas is also located within the Silicon Valley. The corporate headquarters of Maxtor, LSI Corporation, Adaptec, Intersil, FireEye, Viavi and Lumentum (formerly JDSU), KLA-Tencor, SanDisk, and View, Inc. sit within the industrial zones of Milpitas. Flex and Cisco also have offices in Milpitas. The population was 66,790 at the 2010 census.

Cardoza Park

We went to Cardoza Park and took a nice walk. This is a very nice community park with rose gardens, picnic areas, playgrounds, and sports fields. There is a sports facility and swimming pool. Annual Events are held here such as the 4th of July Fireworks.

Calaveras Reservoir

We took a nice mid afternoon drive in August to see again Calaveras Reservoir. The road at times is only one lane so be ware of other traffic. The views of the reservoir are very beautiful. One can often see wildlife such as eagles. deer, wild boar, and more.

Ed Levin County Park

We went to Ed Levin Park. This is a large park with a couple of lakes. We like to watch the fish and birds People can go fishig. There is a large dog park - one part for large dogs; other part for smaller dogs. We and others like to hike in the hills. Its also a great place for hang gliding. There are picnic tables for individuals plus group (albeit due to covid this year, sometimes not useable.).

We went to this very nice neighborhood park. There is the nice adobe building. There are places for individual and group picnics. We enjoyed a walk in the park. Although closed off right now due to covid, there is a nice playground for chidlren, There is nice cactuses, nice views of the hills, and a big grassy area.

We went to Peter D Gill Memorial Park, which is in Milpitas, We had a good time walking in the park. , Others were enjoying the sports courts and fields area. Some were playing pickle ball. Some were there with their sons and daughters. There is a good area to picnic. The views are scenic.
