Five Mountain Brewing Company

Reviewed By UriusT - Vilnius, Lithuania

After a strenuous morning hiking the waterfalls of Rickett's Glen, I detoured on my return voyage home to stop in ol' Shickshinny and to drop in this newish Five Mountain Brewery. Walking in, I was the only customer and was able to chat up the owner/wife of owner/real deal/get it done bartender for a good hour as I tried most of the beers. These beers were rather simple in their recipes, but pure. The tap list was all pleasing, from the Bitter to Stout to Saison to Hefe all tasted good, and more importantly crisp and quite literally well made. I was super pleased with my visit and would recommend for all others. The owners are planning expansion and more investment, so even bigger and better things to come in the future.

I loved the mead! The gal that served us was so much fun and knowledgable about the mead and wine. Free tasting of 3. Cute little place in a building that also had an ice parlor and a cute gift shop. Great experience!
