San Diego embodies laid-back California culture, complete with a Boardwalk, surfing communities, and outstanding Mexican food. Breathe in the fresh ocean air at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, then gobble down a fresh fish taco at a La Jolla seafood joint. The naval aircrafts at the USS Midway Museum will have you standing at attention. A free Sunday concert at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion is the perfect way to unwind after a Saturday night bar-hop in the thumping Gaslamp Quarter.

The Nolen

The Nolen is a destination rooftop bar and lounge that honors modern, timeless cocktails and a renewed spirit of community. Named for John Nolen, a city-planning pioneer who mapped out much of San Diego's early landscape, The Nolen is perched on the 14th floor rooftop of the newly constructed Courtyard San Diego Gaslamp/Convention Center.

Stayed at the Courtyard and was given a voucher, so I had to try! Was blown away by the setup--much nicer than Altitude lounge at the Marriott. Table service was okay. Food was pretty good. Came back every night for a cocktail with friends. Prices are reasonable, but are very good at Happy Hour. Views are incredible, and if you can score a table near a fireplace, you won't regret it.

ALTITUDE Sky Lounge

We had a private business event at Altitude and it was the perfect place to see the incredible skyline of San Diego! They had a nice area for our party of 25 in the corner, roped off with security which was a very nice touch. The view of Petco park and the skyline was perfect at night and the creative cocktail menu did not disappoint. Order the bottle service - we had the vodka one and it came on a roll out bar with neon lighting to impress our guests. Fun music and the most happening spot in the Gas Lamp district.
