Cortijo El Cura Eco-Bodega

Visit Cortijo El Cura and enjoy a day in the countryside, in La Apujarra, surrounded by the peaks of Sierra Nevada and Sierra de Gador. We are the Sanchez Vizcaino family. We founded Cortijo El Cura winery with the aim of offering the first organic wines in the province of Almeria. We make high quality and completely organic products by respecting the environment and focusing on sustainable development: in our opinion, if the development is not sustainable, it should not be considered as development. We produce our wines according to traditional norms of vinification, ensuring a strict hygiene throughout our facilities and by using state-of-the-art-machinery. The production is limited, in that we are based on quality and not quantity. We only use grapes from our vineyards. Our country property has 25 hectares. Our plantation has been cultivated according to the Organic Farming Production Regulation since the very beginning, more than ten years ago. We have got 15 hectares of old vineyards. At least 8 hectares were planted more than 40 years ago. All our products are produced in our organic farm located in the Sierra Nevada Natural Park; specifically within the boundary of the town of Laujar de Andarax, the capital of La Alpujarra of Almeria, a region immersed in life, history and nature.
