Excellent service provided by Stevie and SHM Travel taking a group from Prestwick Town Twinning Association to and from Glasgow Airport on their recent trip to Germany. Much easier than taking cars and parking near the airport.

Thank you Ian who drove us to Glasgow airport from Irvine on New Year’s Day early in the morning. The vehicle was excellent. Plenty of room and comfortable. Ian educated us on the politics of the day on the way (By request) and was able to explain things to me in a way no one else had since I’ve been overseas. My daughter was ill and he was so understanding and respectful, talking with me while she tried to recover. Ian had great communication, reconfirming our trip to give us reassurance ?the day before. This was great as there was likely Limited other transport on New Year’s Day to the airport. He was waiting outside when I went outside at the agreed time. He also did two stops for me to pick up my daughter which was prearranged. I highly recommend him and will use him again next time we are back from Australia. A lovely reliable driver, Thankyou.

We had booked a return journey with car, both legs of the journey were efficient and service was good. Cant fault the facilities onboard as the cafe has nice food but a tad overpriced and plenty of seating including a pet area. The shop and bar was closed due to covid but we cant wait for new ferry to be ready as it will make such a difference!

Caledonian MacBrayne

It's a 45 minute drive from Glasgow and you can park for free in the road behind the famous Nardini's Restaurant. The ferry takes only 10 minutes but it's a lovely ride. The trip is worth the fare alone. However, Cumbrae is a great place to visit. I walked around the island (in about 4 hours including stops) taking the 10 mile perimeter road. It is completely flat with almost no cars but quite a few cyclists. The views are spectacular and half way round you come to the quaint seaside village of Millport. It is possible to catch a bus here back to the ferry if you only want to walk half way.
