The Golden Era Piano Museum is the only public Piano Museum in Australia and Wellington NSW, newest tourist attraction. A living museum, we are open to the public for viewing Thursday to Sunday's & Public Holidays from 10am ~ 4pm. Fully guided tours are at 11am & 1pm Thursday to Sunday's and by appointment weekdays. See our website for details.
A friend organised a tour of the Golden Era for 13 of us visiting Wellington for a few days. Sounded like a very unusual event especially for a non musical person. We were met by Ray the owner who is a bit quirky and a great raconteur. We were possibly stunned by what we learnt and how much we enjoyed ourselves. The complete history from starting with a single string to the grand piano, all the different sounds and progression. I cannot encourage a visit enough, but make sure you get the tour with Ray, there are some guitars to see as well.

I did the fossil discovery and the cave experience and both were well worth the effort. The staff were very knowledgeable and were focused on providing interesting facts and details.
