A very beautiful church that has been well kept throughout the years, the local community is very proud and protective of their church. The exterior architecture is breathtaking with large grey stonework, gilded silver room, and bell tower. The inside is very well preserved and the alter is spectacular. Small museum on second floor with memorabilia from the past. And my mom and dad were married here!

Thetford Mines....once the second largest mining city of Asbestos in the world.... Now a retirement community, this place has nothing to offer. The mining museum could have been interesting with effort put in, but no only pictures some dusty rocks. nothing worth the stop. you will be more visually eased by the surroundings the old mining mills and endless view if residue mining debris. Your best bet go to licsl coffee shop and the elderly gentlemen will share stories of mining and the community....

I stopped here after taking the bus tour from Musée minéralogique et minier de Thetford Mines. It was absolutely stunning. A quick walk up from the road and onto an observation deck allows you to take in the view.
