Surfside Beach

Visited Surfside beach for a morning during a weekend stay in the area and I would absolutely go back! You can pay $12 to drive onto the beach (we did not) and set up grills and tents. It definitely seemed like a family friendly beach! There are porta-potties all along the beach. Went for a walk down the beach and it was beautiful. The water did have some waves as it was a windy day, but the water was warm for March. Lots of restaurants and homes along the beach which makes it easy to spend the day at the beach. I would definitely go back!

Surfside Jetty Park

Reviewed By B-and-B-Explorers

As you walk out onto the jetty, waves pound the left side - the "surfside" and you can spot surfers exhibiting their skills. The right side - the harbor side - is much calmer. It is a great place to watch ocean going vessels enter the harbor, assisted by the harbor pilots and tugboats. Be sure to take a hoody - it is windy on the jetty and was cold even on a fairly warm day.
