An interesting museum, with access to the old mine tunnels through the hills. Some interesting historical stuff about life in the town when the mine was in full swing.

This museum was located entrance of Mungyeong Saejae Provincial Park. This museum's structure was very traditional and beautiful, and the interior was good. But the contents and subject was a little poor, I think. I didn't understand musuem's subject, because 'old road' subject meaning was obscure, I think. Good facility, but contents need to improve.

Mungyeong Rail Bike

Reviewed By Jonathan G - Leicester, United Kingdom

We had a great time on the 4 person bike (with roof in case it rains!). The bikes are on old train tracks and so we followed the rails into the Korean countryside and back, while chatting, eating and just having a good time. The whole thing takes about 50 minutes but it all depends on your pedalling speed!
Note that there are 4 different locations to start, so 4 different rail bike rides: Gurang-ri Station, Gaeun Station, Mungyeong Station, Buljeong Station
The price was reasonable I believe around 15000/20000 won per bike. We just had a lovely time and I would do it again. The staff were friendly as well. Parking was free.
On a side note the drive to Gaeun station was also really beautiful and the little town itself is so different to the megacities in Korea and was a nice way to see and experience something different.
