If you just want to sit and look at the water, eat some lunch ,have a bbq or just chill out this ever changing foreshore is just the spot, good for family's too. At times you can spot the dolphins swimming by, at the moment there is a mother and here young one swimming up and down chasing a fish or two, can get crowded in the holidays but what place doesn't.

Dolphin Quay

As we walked we saw a group having a very happy celebration on a restaurant Terrace. It was late afternoon and it seemed no-one was at work except the people looking after the patrons chatting ,eating and drinking. It was very much in holiday mode as we commented on the boats anchored in the water. We knew we were on holiday here!!It was time for us to join in the partying atmosphere and so we did. There was a good choice of café/restaurants to choose from which offered both food and wine.We took our own wine,or should I say my wine as my husband doesn't drink alcohol. Our drink preferences were respectfully catered to.A very relaxing meal capped off our afternoon wanderings and discovery tour.

This is a very nice building and many shows and Performances are held here. Sometimes you can see people practising here when there are no Performances. There is a cafe serving food and drinks here. All in all, a very modern building for the performing arts. Good to take in a show when there are Performances.

Mandurah War Memorial

Reviewed By freespirit1950 - Norwich, United Kingdom

We were on holiday in Mandurah for Remembrance day so the memorial held more significance than it might otherwise have done.
The parade of obelisks engraved with touching words and phrases rising from the sea only to end interred in the grassy lawn are designed to represent the troops landing, rushing to the heights of battle only to be sacrificed to war and buried.
Very poignant for us older ones but we were sad to see several teens and young adults using it as a playground. More respect perhaps?
